Now I love to rip on DC and their Fans- it's quite easy and enjoyable. Everyone should try it. I rarely link to another forum in this board, but I will make an exception. First read this: http://www.american.edu/athletics/msoc/articles/2002-03/3-25_msoc_dcunited.htm If you are not sick yet, read this thread.... https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40525&perpage=15&pagenumber=1 There were obviously people there that saw this. I haven't read spin doctoring like that from those that weren't present since I read the transcripts of the Nurenberg Trials in college. No need to post in their thread. What a bunch of fraud suck ups. This is going to lengths I thought they could never reach. Let see what DC and their fans will do about this incident. Furthermore, with Hristo (who has a history of ill timed behavoir over his carrer), that mullet-hack Etchverry, Petke the Walking Red Card, and the other legbreaker Kovalenko, will DC finish with more than 9 men in any game this season? What's more pathetic, Hristo taking out a kid or DC fans defending him for it?
you making this a petty metro vs dc argument, when a college freshman was injured to the extent that his career may have been ended.
Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind Did you read what he said? It ain't Metro vs DC. It has NOTHING to do with Metro. It's about the retardation of DC fans.
Re: Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind Did you read that thread? People are either ripping on Stoichkov or saying "let's wait until we hear about what happens from people who were actually there." I didn't see anyone defending Stoichkov.
Re: Re: Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind I guess the sun must be blinding today in Appalachia because obviously you can't see well. Half of the "fans" on that thread are defending Hristo, or at least rationalizing his actions.
It's funny, because that same half were not at that game. While the ones who were there are the ones making a point how deliberate it looked. Maybe as a Spin Doctor said, because of puddles of mud on the field this time of year Hristo tackle wasn't as deliberate as we were led to believe. Yeah, that's it.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind Bullcrap. Anyone can go there and count. And in doing so, you need to keep in mind that several posts were REMOVED because they violated TOS by advocating violence against Stoichkov. You'll find a half dozen posts at the most excusing Stoichkov. There are more Anti-Hristo posts than that on page 2 alone.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind Does it really matter if it's half or half dozen? If there's only a half dozen, that's a half dozen too many.
Wow, that is really some line. I guess you don't get out much because the vast majority of posters on the thread you mentioned were: A) expressing their sorrow that this happened to the poor kid. B) expressing disbelief that Stoichkov didn't pull up (in a meaningless friendly), even if the play was an earnest attempt to win the ball. C) expressing disbelief that Stoichkov would get so wound up that he would commit a straight-red type foul over a stupid offsides call. There were also a number of posts that implied that we remember the value of due process and the dangers of relying on scuttlebutt, since most folks that were posting (including the thread originator) had not actually seen the incident. This is in no way an endorsement of Stoichkov or his actions. There were even a few who were calling for a suspension or the out-right release of the player. It is tough to characterize this as "spin" of any sort. There isn't one DC United fan who would wish this type of injury on their least favorite Metrostar player, much less a freshman playing in a "hometown program" that United has a great relationship with. There is going to be plenty of legitimate stuff to get wound up about during the season. But let's not get carried away by characterizing DC fans as sadists or apologists for dirty play.
Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind Who wouldn't? Sure, but I read plenty of excuses why he couldn't pull up, from puddles of mud, to thinking tackles look worse than they are, etc.. Those were the people that saw it, not the many that are trying to explain his actions as not deliberate. IO especially like the guy who tried to explain Hristo doesn't have a history like this, because his past is quite contrary to that claim. Mad Bulgarian- wonder how he got that nickname- is it because of his constant scowl? There were enough people who saw it, that I can form my own opinion. See picture above. The ones calling for something, were the ones who saw it, not the ones trying to explain it away.
Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind Uh, one poster asked "why didn't Stoitchkov save it for Jaime Moreno."
Re: Re: Re: DC Hackers- Not the Computer Kind Facts, facts, that's all you Metro fans are about. "I got a pocket full of.....kryptonite!"
I just read the entire thread, and other than noted pederast and onanist Thamlin19 (who is also guilty of enjoying the Dave Matthews Band) there's no real pro-Hristo stuff going on. Maybe it's all been removed, but I doubt it. This proves that Hristo's a dick, but we knew that already.
I picked up this gem from Digitron on page 7; "The question is whether he can recover damages. AKA, where has a judge or jury given someone money for a tackle on the field? If there is a case, I would be most interested. " A DC united fan/lawyer chasing the ambulence and looking for a payoff by suing his favorite team? Nah...couldn't be.
hope he doesnt break any rookies legs this season for any team, then we'll know something is up. (if this is retarded to you, im drunk leave me be...** Dree
