The 6th annual DC College Cup kicked off today on the campus of American University. The Tournament pits the 4 Division I soccer programs that reside inside the district against each other (American, Georgetown, George Washington, and Howard). The tournament is set up as more of a round robin rather than a knock out each team plays two of the other teams and the team with the most points after the two games is the winner. The Georgetown Hoyas are the defending champions.

In today's action the hoyas over came a 2 goal deficet at half to defeat George washington 5-2. Here are recap from both team's sites: http://guhoyas.cstv.com/sports/m-soccer/recaps/082506aaa.html
