Hey all, I had mentioned before in the "Lets get to know each other" Thread how many Man United fans we have in the DC metro area and maybe we could get a rec league team together. Anyone interested or know of any teams looking for any players for the upcoming season?
plenty of rec league teams in the area (nvsl, wisl, international league@rfk)...let me know what your skill level is...i'm on a team right now that's mostly old d1 college players mostly 24-30 but there's a few younger and one or two older as well...we have one former all american also so if you're up for that level, well that level plus 4-8 years of drinking beer, then let me know.
I'm 32. I've played football since I was about 5. I took about 13 years off and did some other stuff, but I have now been playing again for 4-5 years. I can use both feet, have good vision and passing, I can head the ball, but don't get up well and I don't have blazing speed. I've played on the wing, in the middle (attacking) and up top where I prefer to get most of my minutes. I also have a cracker of a shot on right foot as well. I am, however, recovering from a back injury, so I probably won't be up for much footy for another 2-3 weeks or so, but I'd be glad to enjoy a kick around sometime. I'm coming from Frederick, MD, so it's a bit of a drive for me.
