For those of you who live in or near Atlanta, you still have the great opportunity this week to see Terrence Malick's 1978 masterpiece Days of Heaven on the big screen. I saw it two weeks ago, and as usual, it was magnificent. I may go again this weekend. There are only three prints in existence and they're playing one here. This is your chance. Go. It's playing at the new Madstone theater in Marietta or Kennesaw, or whichever northwestern suburb. Check the ajc or its website. It's absolutely worth your time and hard-earned dollar
There's a new Madstone in Ann Arbor. Maybe it'll make it here. That film really affected me. It's been decades and every once in a while I can still hear the girl's voice talking about being a "mud doctor".
