http://www.theatlantabeat.com/334928.html This is my kind of woman! No wonder she retired. There can't be too much in Atlanta in terms of adventure racing. Yeah I can see it now...the 2003 Raid Galouise will be held in metro Atlanta. ---------- I wonder how this affects the Beat's draft strategy next month? As of right now the Beat have the 5th pick in the first round. 10th in the second. 21st in the third. 29th in the fourth. This makes me wonder what Cromwell will do between now and the start of preseason.
Dayna was a great part of the "no name" defense the first year. She was also a very nice person, very easy to talk to. I wish her the very best. I hope we keep Cromwell, unless we draft some fantastic defenders.
Dayna will be missed. She was a super cool person. I think I say that about tons of people on this team but it is b/c it is so true. She was awesome the first year. I was hoping last year was just a sophomore jinx and that she would be back this year ready for action. She is great and I'll miss her tons and I hope that GE treats her well and that they have as much as fun with her as we did her in ATL.
Gee whiz. What a drag. I'm depressed hearing about people already retiring from the WUSA. I just hope that the Dayna Smiths and Elie Fosters don't give up on being fans of the WUSA. Maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe this opens up one more door for a promising college girl. But it's still depressing. The Beat is just so lovable. I hate seeing it lose players.
