That makes sense. Reguilon gets premium minutes in a big league and we still basically control things.
Gareth Bale's agent has confirmed a deal to re-join #thfc is being worked on: "Gareth still loves Spurs. We are talking. It is where he wants to be." [BBC]— Hotspur Related (@HotspurRelated) September 15, 2020
Spurs basically wants to swap Alli's wages for 50% of Bale's wages. But our wage bill would remain the same if we take Alli and pay 50% of Bale's wages. Not to mention Alli has regressed a lot in recent years and a misfit due to the position he plays. Spurs should offer him to another PL club.
Gareth Bale's advisers are talking to #THFC about returning on a potential loan move from Real Madrid.— Sky Sports News (@SkySportsNews) September 15, 2020
Alli has regressed, but he's a central midfielder, who Zizou perhaps sees potential in (it wouldn't surprise me). He would at least add some midfield squad depth as opposed to Bale, who adds little to no value to our squad at the moment.
There aren't any takers for Alli at his current wages in the PL. Even Grealish is at a lower guaranteed after his new deal.
Alli is a downgrade on James who struggled for minutes in our system. He's an AM/SS so only way to play him is 4-4-2, but even then he'd mostly be on the bench with Koos, Case, Fede/Modruc, Odegaard, Hazard and Benz starting.
I think Flo might be interested in Alli because the attention a British player will bring to RM in English media. Afterall, he signed Beckham, Owen, Woodgate, Bale. But not sure ZZ would want him. But if that's what it will take to get rid of Bale, ZZ will welcome Alli with open arms. [emoji23]
James is a slightly different player and had massively stagnated here. Alli has and can play deeper. The issue is his current motivation and decline in form, that's perhaps where Zizou can wake him up and get him to play like he was over a year ago, he's still only 24.
I think it's the opposite. James played in 4-3-3 with Heyneckes. Where as Alli is a final third player who gets called out for his laziness even in that position.
Unless the Delle Ali thing is directly tied to the Regui deal what on earth would we do with this dud
If Jose's man management in All or Nothing is anything to measure by, then Alli is great for some games and shitty at training and lazy the other games.
Tottenham are in talks to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid. Daniel Levy have asked about Bale during the negotiations for Reguilon.Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett just confirmed to BBC: “Gareth still loves Spurs, we are talking. It's where he wants to be”. ⚪️ #THFC #Real #Bale— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) September 15, 2020
Guy get media attention for a season as a youngster and he thinks he made it big. The only thing he's contributed is making those stupid finger glasses thing on instagram. Whatever, he can run. As long as Baleinho leaves.
Yes, but don't think Levy is keen to give up on 60 ME signing after just one season. His value could dip further at RM if he's on the bench a lot.
He says we are interested in Alli. Last time we did such loan swap was Baptista-Reyes in 2006. Gareth Bale's return to Tottenham looking increasingly likely.- Talks on and progressing.- Agent confirms it's "where he wants to be".- Real interested in Dele Alli, opening up potential for a loan swap.https://t.co/SUZYrGJulU— Matt Law (@Matt_Law_DT) September 15, 2020
When Alli was excelling he was more of CM that used to make late runs into the box, that was his specialty. I’m not saying it’s a great deal for us, but I definitely think he’ll be more useful to us than Bale for sure and possibly James, as the latter was well out of the picture. We are not purchasing Alli, if he doesn’t work out, it’s not like we’re stuck with a devaluing asset unlike Bale and James had become for the club.
