What should be top priority for the club this summer?

  1. Sign Camavinga

    33.3%
  2. Sell Bale/James (and other deadweight)

    40.9%
  3. Address backup RB

    1.5%
  4. Save the funds for next summer, go after Mbappe

    24.2%

We're keeping a safe 6 feet from any potential transfer.

    @Chinky24 with the winner.

    Thread title is absolute garbage.

But I'm here for the next 3 months of whining that every other club is now richer than us and we're completely broke.

Now people are going to give me shit and offend my tender little titties about this shit thread title great lol!

    On a serious note:
    - We don't know if this self-imposed spending hiatus is going to keep us even-keeled or slow us down in comparison to other teams.
    - We know most of the giants outside of Liverpool and Juve are looking for some significant changes that may bring them needed reinforcements.
    - Holding out for Mbappe at this point is a ship that just keeps sailing further away every single year. Recall that 2 years ago, we were waiting for this summer.
    - I'm a fan of Camavinga, is he ready to make the leap here?
    - What are the likelihoods we can use Bale and James as a balancing weight for a bigger name?

Going into the season with five midfielders is doable as evidenced by this season, but the structure of the last season going into this one is precarious.

The other worry is that of those five players one is Isco who has been invisible since 16-17. I'm glad we didn't get rid of Modric but he can't be asked to go 35+ games and be expected to perform at his normal level.

Realistically we probably see a centre mid arrive this summer at most, we’re at the point where the lack of viable cover for Case is starting to look like poor planning, we’re running a really high and unnecessary risk if he gets injured.

Marcelo, Isco, Luka, Bale to stay one more year. Jovic to be given one more year to impress. No idea what happens with RB cover, can’t see Odriozola returning, maybe Militao and Nacho jointly become backup on that side as well as cover centre back positions, both can play that side competently. No signs pointing to either Kubo or Odegaard returning, unless someone leaves I don’t see either coming back this summer. Vinicius and Rodrygo have to start establishing themselves a bit more, both young but we need to start to now see more end product from Vini and more assertiveness from Rodrygo.

James, Areola (Lunin returns?), Regulion, Ceballos, Vallejo, Mayoral, Oscar, Reiner to leave or to be loaned out.

Loan for Kubo: on pole position are Betis, Granada and ... Osasuna.

Kubo only plans to continue in Spain , despite the fact that Ajax or Lazio do not give up.
The operation will exceed 5 million euros gross between the player's wages and the amount requested by Madrid (about 2.5 ME).

Sevilla almost ruled out. In Pizjuán they have it very complicated, among other things, because they are looking for a two-year loan and a purchase option, two conditions that Madrid does not contemplate.

Lol ******** off Sevilla. These Spanish sides like Sevilla, Velencia ask for the sky when we want a player and expects illogical gifts from RM.

I reckon Odriozola will be brought back since we sold Hakimi and unlikely we spend in that position so far.

I dont mind tbh infact more players the better, but if we are not spending much, its likely we go for a centre mid only.

I hope Odegaard returns, we have a midfield spot up for grabs IMO. Not a chance Modric starts week in and week out and I'm not convinced Valverde is a starter yet. Fede can also be used as cover for Casemiro and it won't cost the club a dime. Odegaard is a shuttler in the middle who can provide us some creativity going forward, could also play as a RW.

lol Fede is box to box midfielder not a defensive mid like Case. We need a proper back up for Case. Fede is now a starter for Zidane and keeps the midfield 3 balanced just like how it should be. Odegaard can come if Modric is prepared to ride the bench more next season.

I prefer Modric with Fede and Casemiro if he is to play.
4-3-3 requires us to have at least 5 centre mids.

It's not likely that we will get a back up for Casemiro this season. ZZ used to play Kovacic in easier games when Casemiro needed a rest. And it was Fede, Modric and Kroos when Casemiro was suspended against Mallorca in our 2-0 win.

The only issue now is Modric is not any younger and neither is Kroos for that matter we need a younger centre mid who is prepared to cover ground. I don't think its a good idea for players to be gassed. This season starts later than usual and finishes early due to the Euros so expect some injuries to happen.

2014-15 we went on a great run and then some injuries happened and it went tits up
