AJax is such a young team which is so unpredictable in my eyes,

Man U has a veteran team with a Manager who knows how to win Finals.

I think it will be tough.

Davinson is very involved in the maych, organize the team play but Ajax needs to attack more. They give too much respect to ManU.

Where was the DFM in that shot/goal/deflection by Pogba? With all the time and space who wouldnt take that shot? Davinson can't just run to him to cover that hole and just leave the middle wide open.

uh oh. United pulling away. at least DS had a nice challenge on Rashford just now....

Ajax needs to act quickly, knowing Mourinho, he'll park the bus and it will be lights out

not blaming Davinson, but you are correct Ajax has been giving United a lot of space all game long...

Tough day for Ajax. Man United had their number pretty much the entire game.

Wonder if Ajax will keep the team together for next season or cash in on some of these young stars while their stock is still high.

Man U and Mourinho set up smartly dropping deep and defending their own half to limit Ajax from getting the space and playing the open game they thrive in and were just too experienced a team for the young kids from Ajax to figure out how to break down. Davison on the goal was completely not at fault, just a bad deflection.

He was Imo the best player on the field, had a bunch of really good tackles, had the most touches for an Ajax player probably and was a beast defensively. He closes down super fast and is ridiculously strong for a 19 y/o. He and Mina should be starting together no doubt from here on out and Davison will be at a big club next year, this kid has a bright bright future (probably at Barcelona)

    From here on out?
Zapata has something to say about that. :p

As for the match, I knew they were just too young to expect a win. And Mourinho know's how to win Cups. Especially with a team full of veterans.

Zapata is bench for Milan who suck. Murillo is bench for Inter or plays 5 minutes and gets injured. I think only thing keeping these 2 from starting is age. Sanchez is just too green to start putting in the last 4 games of qualifiers when we aren't qualified yet

Zapata has the trust of Pekerman and has been developing a chemistry with Mina.
He is also the veteran back there who keeps his cool.
Can Sanchez and Mina be the starting duo by Russia? Sure.
But to say it is a certainty or that from here on out it is in the bag is a bit premature.

Agreed. No need to rush into DS-Mina as our main duo. Zapata, Murillo brothers and Mina have all earned starting roles with the NT. Davinson will get there soon enough.

I can see it MIna-Davinson at copa America 2019

I think these the pair needs to be tried out in these two friendlies. Sanchez may be a bit green but he has gotten tons of experience due to playing in Libertadores finals and Europa League finals. We should play him vs Spain and see if he is ready for the qualifiers. He already played vs Argentina so some of the jitters must be gone.

Completely agree and not to mention he's an undisputed starter for a team that made a European final.

If you look back a few pages there really is no one that is as big a fan of this kid as me. I predicted his greatness a long time ago.

That said, Zapata is not going down without a fight. And experience goes a long way with most managers.

Mina-Sanchez is WC partnership for sure. 1 year with more experience. Just wouldn't start both of them in qualifiers.

If Jesion leave Inter and becomes a starter his new team and he plays well then it's Jeison-Mina for me at the WC. I don't like nor have I ever liked Cristian Zapata since Guerrro broke his check bone in a WCQ like 6-8 years ago he never been half the player he was at Udinese.
