What about Mosquera? He's been doing well in MLS right? Him and Cuesta would be ok. But in this emergency type case where both staring CBs are out, you have to give the nod to Sanchez considering he's getting the proper minutes and confidence to make plays happen. And yes he's mistake prone but it's the best we have at the moment.
I was thinking Mosquera too but to debut a young CB as a starter in a heated match against a direct rival such as Uruguay? I think Lorenzo will stick with the Veteran.
I like Llinas but he stopped calling him and even preferred randoms in turkey over him. It will be Sanchez-Cuesta because of game time. Tho if you watch Sanchez he is Luis Perea at his worst and doesn't have an Ivan Cordoba and Yepes to bail him out. I am already having nightmares of Sanchez vs Uruguay
I am not as worried about Uruguay cause I think Davinson and Cuesta will be okay at home (but it is a tiny concern). The next match day at altitude in Ecuador though may give me ulcers but we shall see.
man this guy is a clutz . happy for his assists but mistakes like that will just F us up for the qualifiers. these ecuadorians are already gassed up as it is.. they need to get humbled and remember who is papa.
He's been a very good defender (outside of his on the ball play) previously and I think he can get back there, he's had a really bad run and the confidence and feeling of being a leader and important matters a lot of a CB. Hopefully he's put himself in a position to be a starter and get that confidence and rhythm back, always strikes me as a good guy who does his best, so fingers crossed.
Yeah i kind of have a soft spot for sanchez (pause) hope he gets back on his feet and gains that confidence back . He reminds me of when we didnt trust perea playing cb for us back in the day .

happy for Davinson - he’s finally getting recurring playing time. I think he overstayed his welcome by 2 seasons but he’s at the age where it’s crucial he plays every week.
Davinsons revenge today vs Tottenham. Would be nice if they could beat them with a davinson header. Don't know how many teammates are still there though except son.
Davinson Sánchez desde la Copa América está con un nivel de confianza tan alto que miren la jugada y el gol que casi hace. https://t.co/7LoTmGTTaL— A Un Toque (@AUnToque_Co) November 10, 2024
