The only consolation is that we could have Rab Douglas in goal.

Seaman has been a fanastic servant to England over the years and has saved us on more then one occasion. However it is time to for him to retire, not only is he a liabilty to the team but also his mistakes are tarnishing his reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe for the past 10 years.

The worrying thing for England is that when Shilton retired after so many years of being first choice Seaman seemed to be the obvious succesor . I don't think the situation applies today.

That's 4 times since June that Seaman's let a shot/cross sail over his head. His face after that goal said it all.

Including one from the mighty Gareth Farrelly.

    Time to go Dave.

I said that David Seaman would retire from football altogether before the end of the season, I wish I'd put money on it now.

It is sad when the great ones just don't know when to let go.

Looking back on what SVE said about him knowing the time himself to leave....i wonder if he now will go to Seaman and say something to him?

Paul Robinson is their best hope. He isn't the best keeper in the world but he is their best option.

Note to England: You do not always need to play a 40 year old goalie. Have some f'n balls and change the f'n bong water already!!

    Old bong water = Seaman
