No excuses for Ospina, he's been inconsistent for a long while and he's made the decision for years now to accept being a backup at club level. He hasn't progressed because he hasn't challenged himself and he's barely played year after year and is fine with it. It's all on him, we're just really unlucky we don't have anyone realistically viable to take his spot.

Ospina has saved our arses in so many situations in tournaments so I am personally not going to sit here and say we are unlucky to have someone take his spot.

Do I wish he had more competition for his spot? Oh yes, we need depth at every position. But for the most part he has played solid for us in World Cups and Copa Americas.

Until someone pops up. Vargas is a laughable keeper the same age as Ospina

Montero has been good for about a year

the other goalies aren’t even starters in their domestic teams just super tall

    That was horrible. No doubt.

On the bright side I think Davinson or Mina would have done a better job clearing it off the line behind him in that situation. :p;)

actually he had a very good match......before the mistake....that was more related with his football field skills than his goalie skills

I am just happy that he didn't ******** up again. Hopefully the starting keeper's injury will at least give him another start before he's stuck behind him.

That injury must have been so bad that Ospina is getting all of these starts. I hope this lasts for quite a while.

Napolis defense is so so bad...

Ospina needs to stop punching the ball away. We really need to get a new keeper. Maybe force league teams to play coloMbian goalies.

1st goal Ospina with a great save but pushes it away and a lecce player taps it in

2nd felt like 10 guys vs Ospina again bad defending by his team

3rd goal.... a fking screamer he couldn’t reach.

not really any his fault but his team got lit up.

Forcing Colombian teams to play Colombians is not going to find us a new Keeper.

Ospina seems to be the man but maybe Montero if he gets his off the field crap together can eventually be the guy,

I saw the highlights and first thing I thought, Crazy is right, if only Ospina was taller.

he is 6’1 he is tall enough he needs to not punch the call so much an extra inch or 2 won’t help that

I heard it's because he has small hands. Thats why he struggles to catch or deflect the ball.
