Yes, he lost. Hence, I am speculating maybe Ospina will be playing in the next one and Meret may just do Serie A.
I am really happy that Ospina developed a vital presence for Napoli. We needed that from him especially prior to the Copa America and likely the World Cup.
Napoli had a rough start with Insigne getting injured again just minutes into the game. Sociedad pressed high and kept Napoli in their half for most of the first half, but in the second Napoli was able to even out things a little bit and, with some luck, Politano put them ahead. Then the usual set up: Sociedad pressing and attacking and Napoli counter attacking. Sociedad closest chance ended in a great save by Ospina, while Napoli wasted a few good options in their fast break.
Camilo Vargas kind of gave me a sense of security. Something Ospina nether really gave me, even at peak form. I don't know if it's me. But Glad to see Ospina with a clean sheet.
The Paraguay match he did look shaky but since then has looked okay. Not having Mina to help secure the area at the end of qualifying was bad. Vargas has his positives but he simply does not have game time with the back line and that counts for something. The more you play with teammates the more confidence you have in them and vice-versa. Ospina has that by default and should be starter.
Vargas could be very calamity...actually he had a lot of responsability in the goal of alexis.....was pasive in the comunication with cuadrado The guy failed badly in nacional in reason becase his lack of security...
Other than that one play though he was pretty solid and has been solid in each of the three matches he has started for Queiroz in my opinion.
50/50.....cuadrado missed the ball but vargas had the vision of the play and there a goalie had to talk also he doutb to leave the goal. I mexico he have had bloopers despite his age. Vargas let us with easily one of the wprst goalkeepers of the NT..... in case he start. Ospina have had a lot of matches as heroe and one witj bloopers ( since 2011 he was in all oficial matches of colombia) .....the only defficieny of ospina beside vargas are pks....
