Come on, BCFC 4th in the league with a game in hand. David Dunn is our best player (perhaps sometimes with the exception of Dug). I think it's time he got a regular placein the England squad. What do you think?

I may be wrong here, but doesn't he get shunted out on the right of midfield because Savage and Clemence are playing better in Dunn's prefered central midfield role ?.

I don't think he's good enough for England. Whilst he has some skill, he doesn't track back and do the gritty stuff that's sometimes needed, or has that much pace. There is also the question over his attitude. If he gets called up for England again, he could get all big headed and think he has made it. His attitude to training and his performances for Birmingham will take a dip, and then he'll moan about not being in the team. At least, that's what happened whilst he was a Blackburn player, and I'd be surprised with he suddenly became a dedicated pro, rather than a talented party boy.

So in short, the answer is no, and every Birmingham fan should hope he doesn't get the call from Sven.

I voted to give him time. He has skill and he did well for the U-21's, but I still think he needs at least one big year of constant good play. Right now Paul Scholes and Joe Cole are the top two for the attacking midfield spot, then there's the fact that Rooney can play there and also Frank Lampard who is doing well in the league, even if he was a bit crap for England in the last two games.

Birmingham are good this year, but I don't think Dunn has set the league alight by any means. All I've really seen him do is argue with Savage over penalties.
