Apologize if this has been posted I didn't see it. I post this for two reasons.

    1. Its cool and funny!
    2. Seems that DB's #1 priority aint soccer.
    3. I thought people here would be interested.

Tangent to the topic: Beckham is mentioned at 3:20 in Keyshia Cole's "Let It Go" feat. Missy Elliot and Lil Kim. The lyric is, "Here's a little lesson Lil Kim don't stress em / Kick em all straight to the curb like Beckham."

I'd imagine he's mentioned in many songs in the UK and beyond, but I'm not sure how many mainstream American songs discuss him.

Talk about jumping to unwarranted conclusions.

He is mentioned in Missy Elliot’s song Wake Up Feat. Jay - Z. lyric: Evisu Jeans cover the rectum, I kick game just like David Beckham / Anybody in my way, I wet them

    :D

Hes in a song also I have on my ipod but i forget which one that goes "I'm like David Beckham, I keep a mean shoe game" or something like that.

Edit: Its gigolo by Nick Cannon

Im tired of everyone criticizing Becks like all his life should revolve around soccer as if they only worried about their job and never took time for themselves or their family on the side to do things they like. I'm sure they all have perfect jobs:rolleyes:

I'm trying to get my head around this. It's like saying, "for whatever reason, Americans love beer." Why shouldn't they? And it's not like they're the only ones.

Seriously... nicely put. So he raps with Snoop Dogg once and suddenly his main focus isn't on footy? Ummmm, so I guess him training with Ass-nal and trying to get ready for England and the coming MLS season on his own time off isn't good enough.

I recall quite a few sports stars doing T.V., movies and music during their time. I guess that means all of THEM weren't 100% focused on their careers either... take that you evil renaissance sports people!

So, we know about Clint Dempsey's rap ambitions. I remember reading that Nicholas Anelka fancied himself to be an MC. Any other aspiring footballer rappers?

I think it's the same reason why Germans Love David Hasselhoff.

I was waiting for declarations about Beckham jumping the large carnivorous fish with a fully cartilaginous skeleton.

White boy can't dance. White boy can't jump. What part of american, black, ganster rap mixed in with silver spoon white boy from England appeals to you? White boy end of looking dumb. Dempsey was bad enough. "It's fine to admire it, but yet another to aspire it."

    Hey....white boy can rap!

You were talking about the entire nationality at first--are you just talking about Beckham now, or do you really think there are no black people in England? Or are you saying white people and hip-hop don't mix? Check out The Streets (Mike Skinner) if you think a British white guy can't rap.

Maybe we can see a Slick Rick-esque style from King Becks? If so than that would be fruggin sweet and also we can hope him dropping a "shout out" to our very own L.A Galaxy. The only British rappers I know are Slick Rick and the aforementioned The Streets so Beckham rapping is just broadening my horizons.
