Am I the only one that read "moved from#Lithuania|n FC Trakai to @MLS club@ChicagoFire on a 3-year sentence" as though playing on the Fire is like a prison?
Arshakyan Whoooooo? Arshakyan! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO? Oh, never mind. (He'll probably be gone before you learn to pronounce his name.)
No official announcement from the Chicago Fire. They must be waiting for Nery Castillo-type unveiling, with firework. He has zero caps for Armenia, so calling him an Armenian International is a bit premature.
No, but he is the best Armenian Player in the Eastern Conference! (S0 that's something. Exactly what, I don't know)
Ginger: Why, I'm...I'm overwrought...I'm overcome...I'm overwhelmed! Professor: And you're overacting.
I think I would've preferred no one. At least then, the deluded, Fire-addicted part of my brain could've construed of a scenario where we were saving TAM/GAM for a big money/big market foreign striker. As is, we've signed another unknown, wing and a prayer player from a third rate league for our no rate club.
Either it's the Sobieski, or the small iPad screen, but in the first video it looks like Marouane Fellaini. But I think Jose is pretty happy with him. So it can't be him.
The first clip he gets the ball, a couple touches and then is knocked over. The second clip gets the ball a couple touches and a pass, neither show a goal scored. The third clip is a pk. These highlights are below JLA level. The leagues he's playing in are also below JLA. He also hasn't been capped even though his country's population is less than a third of the Chicago metro area. This is some Fondy level sh1t. This is wasting an international spot on a player that will probably be competing for playing time in St. Louis. Why even sign the guy? We have a young mediocre striker, his name is Callistri. Do we need a younger taller less talented one to secure the wooden spoon?
Don't worry, no way in hell he makes it though the entire contract. I say he'll be gone by seasons end in 2017, so no more than a year and half. Just about every other player we have signed in the last 5-6 years.
They didn't even think he was good. This is what an anonymous Armenian National Team spokesperson had to say. Allegedly, Armenia: 45 goals yes...BUT IN LITHUANIA?! You got to be kidding me! What's next? A defensive mid from the Hungarian 1st division? You better take that sh1t to Pune City son! That's like signing a defender from Portugal not playing for Sporting Lisbon. Or starting a failed substitute Goal Keeper from MLS Columbus Crew. If I did that you would probably think I never coached a club or was part of a winning organization or worked 4 days a week from New Jersey or for an owner that was cheap and spending his father in laws money. The kind of ignorant piece of sh1t that insults great men and farts in elevators. Allegedly.
My guess is they get the Korean kid next because the Fire are secretly signing players who have played or are my 4 ancestors nationalities/ethnicities. They already signed several Mexican players, signed an Ecuadorian, now a guy who was playing in Lithuania they sign a Korean and we've completed the cycle.
