GOAL CELEBRATION FOR HANAU VICTIMS ● RODE CALLS FOR YOUNES has to go back to Jogi

“I enjoyed the way the guys gambled at the front,” said defense chief Martin Hinteregger (28) with full appreciation.

His dream goal to make it 2-1 after a cheeky dribble against defender Süle, whom he teased before two Eintracht goals. “He was world class before the break, crowned with the world class goal. I can't remember coaching a player like that before. A really cool kicker, ”enthuses coach Adi Hütter (51).

► His first Bundesliga game (BILD rating 1) in front of national coach Jogi Löw (61) since 2014. “I hope he gets a chance at the DFB,” praises midfielder Sebastian Rode (30), “if he continues Playing like that, there is no getting around Amin. "

Will the former national player (5 internationals) still be a candidate for the European Championship? What Younes did against Bayern had hand and foot. With short hooks he let Bayern run into the void in rows before the break. With his one-on-one energy, he kept creating spaces.

And the little dribbler showed his big heart. This time for the victims of the racist attack in Hanau. German-Lebanese Younes: “Something bad happened there that we will not forget. We wanted to show the families of the victims that we think of them. That won't bring them back. But it expresses how the whole Eintracht association feels about it. " Diana Sokoli (33), fiancé of the slain Fatih Saraçoglu, reacted deeply touched yesterday: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the great gesture. I'm sure that Fatih would have been just as happy about it. "

The traditional Kicker fan poll. On a scale of 1 to 6, how would you rate Joachim Loew's work (German scale).

4.5 average sounds about right to me....

So In England the bookies are ranking Klopp as the most likely to be sacked next .....not that I think that this would be realistic. Yes they have had a bad run but Klopp has achieved so much inn his time there.

Well good news would be then - he would be available for the NT possibly after the Euros this August

After SGE's 2-1 win over FC Bayern on Saturday, Joachim Löw raved to 'Sport1': “Younes played a very good game. He is gradually finding his rhythm again. His technique and orientation on the pitch are great. He is a player who resolves a one-on-one situation very well. "

Löw saw the great performance of Younes live in the stadium and, according to BILD information, had a detailed conversation with Frankfurt's sports director Fredi Bobic about the development of Younes at Eintracht since last autumn.

Löw should also have Younes on the slip for the European Championship. Should the form curve at the Eintracht professional increase further, a nomination for the international matches at the end of March is definitely possible.

I'm not sold on Younes. He's a great dribbler and the kind of player, who thrives in a good working nad functional team. We don't have that with the NT currently. He's also prone to go hero mode and be wasteful. Is this the kind of joker you will bring for the last 10 minutes needing a goal in a ko stage game? And don't we have that option with players like Sané, Amiri, Brandt, Gnabry, Waldschmidt who are either more talented, more expirienced, more reliable or a combination of these?

Waldschmidt is only a decent player not doing much in Portugal who only gets called up due to CF being bare+Low blaclisting older options.

also lucky he made dfb debut prior to moving to Portugal otherwise call ups would have been unlikely.

but he's not really for NT, once better options emerge wouldn't be any good reason to call him up.

Waldschmidt is too young to get a final judgement. Who knows, he can do a Timo Werner in the next several years. He needs a better BL team, though to play European competition.

Loew would be so crazy to take Younes as he had one good game against Bayern (who seem to struggle with out Muller )
I recon Muller is still one of our currently best players we have - top five at least.
Younes is not top five !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, but hey you are also in favor of fielding traitors like Gündogan and the mentioned wingers who got whopped in Spain last year. So, in a bizzaro world version of this board you might turn out to be right one day

When the Euro 2000 deja vu happens this summer I will remind you of this post

Let's not go by the board and forget that Özil sang the Turkish anthem the other day whilst he never did this with the German anthem in like 10 years at the NT. Dude was an imposter, an opportunist who chose Germany because he could increase his market value every two years at a big tournament. Higher market value meant more €€€. The same applies to Gündogan and YOU GUYS want this fella to "lead" this troop of cucumbers into the abyss

Enough of the traitor talk - fine if you don't want Gundo selected but lets not rake over 2018 all over again

Ozil is not up for selection - you can discuss him in the Ozil thread.

    incoming blacklist....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Kroos criticizes Löw's decision: "I'm questioning that now"
Joachim Löw's decision to forego the trio around Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels and Thomas Müller regularly meets with criticism. Many players are likely to see it similarly - Toni Kroos publicly questions the success of the national coach's intention. During almost every international break, a potential return of the world championship trio is discussed. Especially after games in which the playful appearance or (also) the result was bad. With a view to the upcoming European Championship in summer, this topic should gain momentum again. After all, the national team has shown more often that more experience in defense could be an important factor for improvements - and in the form in which Müller has presented himself since taking over Hansi Flick, he would be a player for Germany in terms of performance.

Kroos emphasizes the importance of the European Championship: "As Germany, of course, you can't give up a tournament" "I am now questioning whether the coach's plan, as he wanted it back then, has worked out to this day," Toni Kroos told Sky about his assessment. He emphasized that there was a clear intention behind Löw's decision, especially after the 2018 World Cup - but one must now decide again what is best for the next tournament.

For the EM it is the clear mandate "that we get the best possible team for this tournament", continues Kroos. In this regard, he also saw clear principles for the composition of the team: "With the strongest in form and those who go together best. As Germany, of course, you are not allowed to give away a tournament."

A transition period to the 2022 World Cup or 2024 European Championship, as it is partly due to the so often cited "young team" in the room, is not an issue for him. However, he also admitted that he was "pretty biased" on this subject. After all, the 101-time national player has already played in many international matches with the trio, who have made a total of 246 appearances for Germany. Nonetheless, the goal for the summer is "to win the title at this European Championship," emphasized the long-time Real Madrid player.

The composition of the team is accordingly important, especially in view of the tight group stage with world champions France, European champions Portugal and Hungary, which Kroos sees as a "mega challenge": "We have to be really good from the start." "I think that in the end you have to plan a bit ahead," said the 31-year-old, while he was happy not to have to take on this task himself. However, he defended national coach Löw: "He is highly motivated for the tournament. He made decisions that need an ass in his pants. In my opinion, he deserves to show in this tournament that he can do it compared to 2018 can turn around. "

Sportinside report that internal struggles at DFB is deriving from DFL trying to take over DFB with its trademarks of DFB Pokal and the NT trying to squeeze even more money out of international football. DFL think DFB are idiots with under constant tax-fraud suspicion. DFL doesnt want Curtius(coming from the DFB itself) as some sort of CEO of a "DFB limited" who would get to decide on the selling rights. They want their own DFL influenced CEO in that position. Keller is also influenced by the DFL but has a majority of amateur club representatives in DFB council against him who rather want to pump 50 mil per year into amateur clubs and their youth work.

Basically, the success of Bundesliga and their money is attacking DFB -which is weak at this moment- for making even more money. Keller is acting trying to "clean up" the mess within DFB which can be seen as that "cleaning up" or actually preparing the ground for a "take-over" by DFL.

So, for the next at least 3 international NT tournament, our flat 3 behind striker is quite safe. Gnabry, Sane, Havertz, Musiala, Wirtz. Barring future injuries and steep dips in performance, with those 5 we are quite in safe hands. Moukoko could round up the last position
