Friedrich is probably the top performing German CB at this point imo, and that includes the blacklisted Hummels and Boateng. He should get a call up in March.

Very clever decision btw to keep the right flank open and have German Armijen Robben run into it. It's almost as if Noord Holland was a little more valuable than Zuid-Holland

We simply cannot bench Gundogan with his current form. Looks like Kroos might have to sit cos I don't see how a midfield of Gundogan plus Kroos won't be overrun

    ------Back 4
    ------Kimmich
    Kroos------Gundogan
    -------Goretzka
    --Gnabry-- Sane

A midfield of gundo and kroos is a virtual suicide, agree on current it's gundogan all the way, Gundo, kimmich, Goretzka

Suele is terrible , absolutely terrible

so clumsy , so slow and can’t move anymore.

Ruediger, Ginter, Hummels, Marvin Friedrich and Uduokhai are my choices

Should loew move kimmich to left back and rather make use of Neuhaus , kroos, gorestka and gundo in midfield ?

Probably not - kimmich at lone 6 and the others as a double 8 could be a dominating midfield .

Although just looking back at the Spain game - we know now that with out kimmich in midfield it is a disaster .

Kroos Gundo and Gorestka were hopeless . We need kimmich for the Defensive midfield .

What worrie me the most we all wanted a 4-3-3 against Spain and that’s what loew gave us . It was actually the best line we could do with out the exiled trio and injured kimmich

And that also did not work .

What position does Gundo actually play at Man City . Is it 6 or 8 ???

A display of what positions Ilkay Gündogan has played in over the last 50 matches including his average match rating on the specific position.

    POSITIONS APPS AVERAGE RATING
    Midfielder (Centre) 28
    7.5
    Defensive Midfielder (Centre) 18
    7.4
    Attacking Midfielder (Centre) 2
    6.7
    Midfielder (Left) 1
    7.8
    Defender (Centre) 1
    7.5

I guess that would equate Mid - Center would be more of an 8

In that case we could have something like this:
    -----------Back 4 (most unexplained phenonium)
    ----------------------Kimmich------------------------------
    -------------Goretska -----------Gundo(left-center Midfield)

Anyone who is in favor of Gündogan would have also voted for Benedict Arnold as 1st colonial officer after the restored 13 colonies' failed attempt to gain independence

Nothing wrong with Halstenberg or Gosens, perfectly serviceable options at this point. Netz will soon have that position locked down anyway, no worries for the future of the LB spot with several good talents in that position.

If Low doesn't call up Hummels, which seems likely given his stubborness and Hummels current form, then I suspect the back 5 for the Euros at this point would probably be Klostermann, Ginter, Sule, Rudiger and Gosens, Gotta hope Sule rediscovers some form before then, at least Ginter and Rudiger are doing ok currently. I would prefer Hummels, Friedrich, Udoukhai or Boateng to make it but I can't see that happening, Low will stick with the players he likes.

I’m expecting Musiala, Marvin Friedrich and Kevin Volland to be nominated for the next NT

all three can help the current NT

Ridle Baku And Uduokhai aren’t new, but I like them in the NT too.

then of coz we can talk about players like Hummels, Thomas Muller or Stindl

What a performance by Draxler. He is indeed the future Kapitano.

jokes aside Wolfsburg and Arnold want Low to recall him, all week in media.

I'm indifferent on Arnold, only good for depth option. Not someone I ever saw as NT XI.

This team would help Germany win the World Cup, by ensuring not only Low but also Bierhoff, Keller and probably the entire DFB board would be brought down after the Euros lol.

That being said Arnold isn't horrible, and Draxler will probably actually start for realz.

Thats the spirit. We need this "we're shit and we know we are" mood back from the bargain corner times...

Niko Kovac has spoken out in favor of Kevin Volland's comeback in the national team. “Kevin is the only typical German center forward. Like Miroslav Klose. He's a striker who can bring his body to the table, score and prepare a lot of goals, ”said the coach, who like Volland is under contract with the French first division club AS Monaco, in a“ Sport1 ”interview. "At 28, he is in the prime age to play the European Championship for Germany this year." The attacker completed the last of his ten international matches in November 2016.

“With him you know what you get: quality. He stands for more than 15 goals and many assists every year. That is exactly what we needed in Monaco. The way Kevin is very important because he not only scores goals, but also works and moves forward in training and games. ”Volland scored a total of 86 goals in the Bundesliga before signing in Monaco in the summer. For his new club, he has so far scored twelve goals and eight assists in 23 games. In league games, only Thomas Müller (31) from FC Bayern Munich scored more points in the ranking of German first division professionals.

In spite of his good values, Volland did not have high hopes for a DFB comeback in a “kicker” interview in November 2020. "Oh, if you made your last international match in 2016, then had your best time and were always among the top German scorers, then that's actually a clear sign," he said at the time.

I don't think he is NT material, probably similar to Kuranyi and Kießling talentwise.

Well currently Kuranyi and Kiessling won't find it difficult to breakthrough our NT squad.
