Bild reports that a Löw dismissal is not yet off the table after a conference call of DFB council today. There are voices within DFB who want him to go and this is being discussed/decided until 4th December when the next conference call takes place

It will be his 15th year in charge of the national team, Jesus, everything has a shelf life, even antiques move on in that time, also the hierarchy at the DFB are simply not football people.

  12. Could all this be the result of the UEFA changing formats to keep Germany from relegating last time?

    Not sure what you mean?

This decline started way before the NL was even conceived. Also Germany were still close to making top spot in Group A despite playing like shit.

Despite the public backing of Fritz Keller and Oliver Bierhoff, the future of Joachim Löw is still in doubt. The DFB presidium is to hold a meeting today and discuss the next steps [Bild]

Sacking Löw immediately is an unlikely scenario, but the DFB committee is expected to question him and ask him for his plan for the next few months. Several DFB members are irritated as the backing of Löw from president Fritz Keller was not discussed and agreed beforehand [Bild]

Kuntz, Rangnick and Tuchel seem like only decent options open between now and Summer 2021.

Rangnick: "It doesn't belong" to talk about Löw's job - "I'm excited myself" After the 6-0 defeat of the German national team in Spain, Ralf Rangnick again refused to comment on possible ambitions of his own for the post of national coach - although the former Leipzig coach is generally one of the few suitable candidates for a successor to Joachim Löw is viewed. When asked whether he would be ready, Rangnick said on Thursday evening to the broadcaster “RTL”: “It's not proper. We have a national coach who has done a good job so far. It is not appropriate to talk about it. "

The DFB-Elf and Löw are discussed here Rangnick about possible DFB offer: "I'm excited myself" Regarding a possible offer from the German Football Association, Rangnick said: “Nobody can know. I'll let it come my way and I'm really excited myself. ”The 62-year-old was recently a long time coach and sports director for RB Leipzig and is currently out of work.Löw's contract runs until the end of the World Cup in Qatar in two years. At the moment, however, a farewell already appears to be possible after the European Championship next year.

I would prefer Rangnick over Tuchel or Kuntz.

Rangnick could implement the high energy gegenpressing that would suit the current player pool, especially with Muller recalled. I would actually look forward to watching the NT again.

The meeting today still goes on it seems.

Guys, the problems are so severe from public image to youth development... Let's agree at this point already that even if they replace Löw, not much is going to change any time soon. Let's not hang our hopes on Löw being abandoned somewhere in the Black Forest like Hänsel and Gretel and suddenly the prince Kloppo comes riding in saving the day

The problems aren't unfixable. No national association has zero issues, there are much worse ones then the DFB. Public image would be greatly improved immediately by sacking Low and Bierhoff, and youth development is not that bad, Most countries would love to have the amount of talented kids Germany are producing.

Plenty of talented players available. You could literally pick a team with 7/8 players who are part of the current best club side in Europe. Germany should be legitimate contenders to win Euro 2021.

The fatal outcomes of the Bierhoffisierung of German football

"Bierhoffisierung" (bierhoff-ing of sth.) "the smoothing, disciplining, de-emotionalizing of everything that could somehow show a touch of authenticity or realness or could disturb the staging of a show"
