I mean I get it you don't want to talk about Muller and co and you don't have to. But I think it's interesting to get a more detailed view of the background stuff and it still about the present too. all I get from this is how shit of a coach Low is and his piss poor player management is.
Yeah that is true you get no argument from me either but Low for the most part I guess he also wants to incorporate the younger players into the set up as well
Low could easily have incorporated younger players post CC17 but he didn't. why is Reus still on the team but not Muller? I like Reus and he would have been world class if it wasn't for his injury proness just like how Gotze would have been world class if it wasn't for his myopathy. But NT wise, Reus hasn't done much due to injury problems. same for Neuer, Kroos, Hector, Gundogan why are they still on the team?Seems like Muller/Boa/Hummels were a sticking point so Low got rid of them. Which is pathetic because he's the coach and he sees conflict brewing between young and older and his answer is to ditch the older ones under the bus and move on. I don't see that shit working on a coach like Jupp Heynckes . I don't care about young or old. But about the best possible players playing. Now we are supposed to believe. We don't need Muller more Draxler, lol.
this is same coach who left out Sane of the WC but now talks about young players. and to think had Euro 2020 been this Summer, Seems unlikely Sule, Sane or Reus would have made it in time. so we play with our current CBs and current attackers minus 2, yikes it really would have looked ugly.
I don’t really get the Reus hate thing on here. Why can’t Reus slide into the Klose/Podolski role where he’s just there to score a bunch of goals off the bench/in select spots. He’s not 32 until next may! Plus Muller won't expect that role. My starting 11 is GK: Neuer LB: Halstenberg CB : Ginter CB: Sule RB: Klostermann DM: Kimmich CM: Kroos AM: Goretzka RW: Gnabry LW: Sane FW: Havertz Bench : Ter Stegen, Gosens , Reus , Can, Brandt ,Werner , Amiri, Rudiger , Leno, Demirbay,, Gündoğan
If he is fit of course lol. 12 Goals & 6 Assists Total of 18 G/A in 29 apps A not so profilic season as per Reus' standard but He still managed to get decent numbers in a difficult season. His finshing this has been a bit off though..which is weird. .
Those stats were mostly in qualifiers against minnows and are thus useless. In the tournaments he didnt happen to lie around in some hospital he did jack shit: 2012 and 2018. Reus is only still on the team because Löw a, has some sort of sentimental feelings Reus missed 2014 and b, because he cant throw all the international experience overboard. Except for Reus we only have greenhorns upfront who have played 1/2 -1 international tourneys. And: Reus is not even a key player at Dortmund anymore. Plus Reus certainly is not an impact player. Never was. In a nutshell: He cant. Forget about Reus doing any significant in the remaining 2-3 years of his international career
Reus has been Dormunds best player for years now. Imo he was the best player of Germany’s golden generation and it’s a same beat didn’t win the WC in 2014 with the rest of them. If fit I could even see him starting over someone like Sané.
my 11 is similar but the lack of defensive players in our midfield with our center backs worry me. also what are your thoughts on having Demme and Nehaus on the team?
not sure where I hate on Reus? I like him but he's injury prone and wasted potential. If I hate on players its guys like Draxler and Mustafi, lol. so is Rudiger only there to convince Werner and Havertz to join Chelsea and to be bench CB, he lost his spot....3 consecutive bench........Tah also lost his spot towards the end at Bayer.......... well good for Rudiger's chances that Chelsea are down 2-0....
I didnt deny that Reus is possibly our best offensive option. I said, he is a glass cannon and you cant trust in him to deliver when you need it. Considering that, he is certainly no locker room guy/impact player option
If he’s our best offensive option wouldn’t that make him an impact player. I agree though because of injuries he’s not reliable
Impact player would mean he is available most often and especially when needed. Reus is basically the worst of both worlds
A few items: Draxler should never play for the NT. He never deserved to make it in the first place Reus if not injured should be part of the team. Thomas Muller has had a great season but is not coming back to the NT. Here is the reason why. A team set up with a true and good #9 is needed to get the best out of Thomas Muller. Take that away and he is not the same. With Gomez done, the NT doesn't play that way so the need for Muller is diminished.
Neuer has an Özil type of situation coming up. He was filmed in Croatia yelling Croatian nazi rock songs
I think the NT are all set in GK, midfield and left back: GK) Neuer, ter Stegen, Leno, Schwolow, Trapp are all good LB) Gosens, Halstenberg, Max, Nico Schulz, Mittelstadt, Plattenhardt DM/CM) Emre Can, Goretzka, Kimmich, Kroos, Gundogan, Brandt, Arnold, Demme CB we have some depth but maybe not enough quality; Good) Ginter, Sule, Hummels, Torunarigha So-So) Koch, Rudiger, Mustafi, Tah, Stark Wingers, CFs, RB.........we need so much depth Wingers) Timo Werner, Sane, Gnabry, Reus ( Havertz plays RW pretty well but we might need him at CF; Brandt is also capable to play at wing but i feel like he is better as a free roaming 8) CF) maybe Havertz ............ n no other solution yet) RB) We only have Klostermann who is relevant (Lets see how Henrichs will develop next season, but either him or Klostermann will play RB )
