Update: Bent, seriously, scored after his strike hit a beach ball that was on the field, and went into the Liverpool net as Sunderland continued to ascend in the Premier League table, downing the Reds 1-0 on Saturday. Analysis: Umm, they say goal-scorers just find ways to score, but this is ridiculous. Bent is truly having a blessed season at the Stadium of Light. Maybe Fabio Capello can put him on England's World Cup squad, but they have to make sure plenty of beach balls make it South Africa.
