A goal and an assist, without McBride, Cunningham, Buddle, Martino or West in the line-up, in a 2-1 victory over full KC side.....Dante's last match as a Crew member. Quakes need to at least look into signing him. He's not gonna win us an MLS Cup but he would bring poise, patience, speed, control and experience to an offense that needs that badly. He'd probably take alot of heat off Donovan who, alongside Ching, will simply get swarmed on. :(

......and another thing, with Ching alongside Donovan, opposing defenses will swarm on Donovan and Donovan will melt down from the frustration. I see alot of cards on the horizon for L-Do. He will get hacked, pushed, pulled, knocked down and he has a short fuse. I would feel soooo much better about Donovan, Washington and DeRo as our fwds.

I'd take him, but he might cost a lot, salary wise.

Find the money. He's exactly what you need. Big, very strong, can body up with any defender in the league. Donovan would go nuts.

On second thought, forget I said anything.

    No, no, no.......

Dante is past his prime and would cost us too much. He is a short term solution. I would rather give Ching a chance than Dante....

That's what we need til we can do something about Agoos' salary......which wont be til next season. As for Ching.....you don't give him a chance by making him a starter.....you work him into the line-up behind a veteran. I never said Dante wasn't gonna cost too much....I just said that the Quakes should talk to him, how do ya know if ya don't ask.

PS: Dante past his prime is alot better than Ching now.

Let's keep in mind Dante got a goal and an assist and THEN Columbus cut him.

I don't see Ching starting unless Landon or Dewayne are hurt or on national duty. I'm still hoping some foreign discovery player will be signed in the next two months...

When did the Crew release Washington? Ching certainly sucks. Even without taking Ching into consideration, Washington would be a great pickup.

Officially.....i think it was after he scored a goal and an assist vs KC in a 2-1 victory, but he's been the odd man out of a fat line-up for months. He supposedly signed a short 2 month contract while McBride was on loan so he could stay match fit in hopes of hooking up with another MLS team.

I think Washington would me a great addition to any side save LA. I sure hope KC picks him up, and we do have one extra roster spot still open.

And no, it was not a "full' KC side that Cbus beat. Garcia and Klein were with the Nats. Wolff still hasnt started, he played the second half and scored. 3/11 not starting is hardly full, especially when they're all Nats.

True but......you have to admit, the crew were more depleted. Why would you want Dante in KC? You guys are pretty stacked up top......Wolff, Simutenkov and Fabbro make up one of the better attacks in MLS.

I'm not sold on Fabbro yet. Neither are many of the fans. We may not need another forward, but if you have an extra roster spot why not get the best available player? Plus, Wolff is coming off injury and will be going on Nats duty (I would think). If Fabrro doesnt pick it up, then Washington would be needed.
