So is Danny available for us to sign? I think that he would be a good option if the price is right. He has shown that he can play good. Maybe under Robert, he can show his true potential. I think it would be his best bet. Go Crew!!
But, would it be ours?....no. On second thought is it to late to use a developmental contract on him? I MIGHT be willing to do that.
Danny: "So, Mr. Warzycha, can I come back to Columbus?" Robert: "No, you are a cancer wherever you go." Danny: "No, I'm not. I'm a Gemini." Robert: "...." I think this video best sums up most responses: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg2u_De8j5o"]YouTube- NO!![/ame]
Can anyone put together a constructive argument about why to not even entertain the idea of picking him up? If so, please respond as I am now very curious as to why so many people are so vehemently opposed to having him. Go Crew!!
A constructive argument would be that at this time he is not better than any of the other options we currently have in the midefield.
1) He was just released by DC after yet another underwhelming stint with a club; 2) He failed to make any impact with the Crew whatsoever in his time here. Positive impact, that is; one could argue that his slothful work ethic and partyboy lifestyle was impactful, in a way; 3) He has fewer highlight reel moments in his professional career than Eric Vasquez.
I have from an extremely reliable source that Danny rides the night train...if u know what I mean. In addition if he could not make it at lowly DC then what makes you think he'd crack our lineup?
Thats better. I got better info by just going to the DC united thread on the subject. He was most recently on their team, so I expected better info, but I was pleasantly surprised that they actually debated the topic rather than how this thread started out. My hatred for that team has diminished greatly. I must say I never had a problem with the fans though. Every time I went to a game there I had a good time and they were quite the welcoming group for our away supporters when I went with a group which was all of two times in the late 90's. The supporters groups actually got together for food and beer and it was a lot of fun.
Golly gee imagine that. You got more info from the team that has more recently dealt with the chode monster than the team who dealt with him five years ago. Who'd thunk it?
