Hello all! I am currently researching the danish ligaholdet for the new version of the football management computer game LMA Manager. Am currently working on the clubs staff, but confused on some areas due to a lack of danish translators on the web. Below is a list of the AGF staff, could any body tell me what a Holdleder is? also Fysisktræner and what ITU, YDM, JDM and Danmarksserien are? Cheers
AGF Aarhus Superliga team : Sören Åkeby - Cheftræner = head coach Stefan Linder - Trænerassistent = assistant coach Maciej Wasyniuk - (no longer with the club !) Lars Nielsen - Fysisktræner = Physical coach Lars Møller - Holdleder = Team manager (he is responsible for all the different practical things around the squad) ITU = Integreret Talent Udvikling (Intergrated Talent Development) a project made by the Danish FA (DBU) and Team Danmark, trying to support the development of Danish talents. To be a part of the project the ITU players at some point have to have been selected for one of the the Danish youth international squads. Only 14 Danish clubs have been selected as ITU-clubs, and AGF's Hans Petersen is a ITU-coach. However, AGF have stopped using this team as the 2nd team, and do now use the ITU-squad as the real 2nd team... Anders Bjerre - Træner Ib Kalsmose - Holdleder YDM = Ynglinge DM (league) = (U17) Youth League team, players born in 1986-87 Carsten Karkov - Træner Flemming Holm - Holdleder JDM = Junior DM = (U16) Youth League team, players, born in 1988 Casper Bugge - Træner Jørn Martin - Holdleder .
To put it a bit more exact, alltho the above explanation covers everything pretty well, I thought you might need a bit extra: Danmarksserien is the danish pendant to Conference League - the league just below the divisions. YDM = Ynglinge DM. Humm. The oldest youth team (16-17 yrs old) are called "ynglinge", and DM is the best league for those. JDM = Junior DM - the youth just a tad younger than ynglinge.
I used to tell ppl that when we had a 3rd division, but now that the 3rd division is gone, it's a little hard to compare the English and Danish leagues... I must admit that I dont know what they got below the Conference League in England ?? ... .
