It's been years of mediocrity since 2001 so we're well used to it, perfect level of club for your hero to be at.
You don't deserve Jose. He brought you a trophy, and added some great players to the lineup, many of whom have left and the rest will leave. You reap what you sow. The thing also about constantly firing managers is that it makes it harder to get great managers. Most great managers won't go to a club that fires so quickly, because they know it take some time to build. He had 6 months left on his contract. That is a bad time to fire a top coach. Really poor business decision. Let him finish, then you can judge him clearly on this full body of work over the full 3 year contract. But now, you have bad karma to deal with.
I went and looked at the manager turnover. Yes it is high for Roma, but to be fair it is high at nearly every club in Serie A. So a big negative for Italian football. AC Milan, Napoli, Inter, all quite high turnover. Fiorentina, Juve, Lazio are slightly better. England PL overall seems quite better in this regard, but it varies by club. A really bad thing for Italian football... why can't they retain coaches? Its not good for the fan base, and to add, the infrastructure quality is declining. Overall just bad environment for Italian football. They really need to fix things. No wonder they have such inconsistent performances in Europe+World in both the clubs and in the national team.
De Rossi denied that he said he would never return to trigoria, and said he would come back one day. Seems pretty clear it’s the Friedkins who are preventing him from being re-appointed, and not a case of him not wanting to come back.
Loserinho got sent to another continent for his peak mediocrity. He got fired so hard, the whiplash teleported him into a Turkish doner kebab shop near the border with Syria. They gave him a coaching job to lure in the zero IQ population of Portugal into spending their sardines in Istanbul. And it worked too.
https://romapress.net/ghisolfi-would-like-to-bring-back-daniele-de-rossi/ I'm not for DDR coming back but why have a sporting director that isn't allowed to make sporting decisions?
