It’s all paper talk so who knows what’s real. But allegedly Bellanova was DDR’s #1 request but was told Cairo would not sell him. Only for Torino to later sell him to Atalanta. The management also wanted Dybala to be given a much lesser role this season, I’m guessing so his contract doesn’t auto new. He was against banishing Zalewski after his contract issues. Also had to push hard to get them to sign another CB, which is why Hummels was signed so last minute. And in general wasn’t convinced by the signings being made.

I would guess Totti’s comments a couple weeks ago was him echoing what DDR was telling him in private. And saying out loud what DDR couldn’t.

Good luck with the stadium now. Knowing how the Italian bureaucracy works, I have no doubt there are a few diehard Roma fans within the city government that are now going to gum up the works.

It was always 50-50 at best, but I'd say the odds have decreased.

You and your tribe attack people all day on social media, I really don’t get it. Your entire existence is based upon a football coach, and proving the world you’re right and he’s still great. HOW SAD

you can ban the guy you know, like 10 people use this forum regularly and this guy just trolls and derails threads. Mourinho has been gone for nearly a season and this guy is still trolling, it’s not a question of free speech but the usability of the forum. That or create a Mourinho thread and keep all comments in there idk

This feels like a rash decision. But the team has stumbled badly getting out of the gate.

    Just win some games.

With all due respect to DDR and the shitshow that has occured, if Juric can get a tune out of this bunch and knock out a few wins then most fans will forget about it pretty quickly.

Not so sure about that. I'm sure the fans will support Juric right from the start but the grudge against the management will remain. It makes the whole thing even less understandable. They've had the fans on board no matter the results for 3 years now and give it up for something that no one understands. I've never seen so many active and retired figures in the football world come forward when a coach gets sacked and say how surprised they were and how they think it's the wrong decision as in DDR's case.

For sure a grudge will remain in certain quarters indefinitely, regardless. Nothing like a good run of wins though for most to move on.

No chance this will be forgiven or forgotten. The local hardcore fans that turn up every game will not forget how they have treated a legendary figure. Most of football is now just a business but theres some icons left in the game and certain clubs such as Roma who have had little success but have a very strong passion. Fans might in time get behind the team but this management is finished and they did it all themselves due to what seems to be incompetence. How did Dan not have a better read on sacking him like this would play out. You would assume he would having spent a lot of time in Rome so maybe the conclusion he is knew and just didnt care. Theres no project or direction here anymore.

Yeah my tea has gone cold with this team, losing an icon in the manner we did really lost heart for me. I want Juric to succeed but I don't know if I would even care if he does.

I dont think he was given a fair chance. The way you gave Fonseca/Mourinho, maybe our management is biased in favor of a foreign coach.

Yes, this won't bode well down with the fans. and me too. Even if Juric pulls off results, the management shot themselves in foot.

Fair, Lina wont be spared anyway.

The Friedkins have pumped money into this club though, the stadium might actually happen. Although the results we'd like to see haven't been there in Serie A, I feel like we'll get there soon (eventually, stumbling perhaps) with them at the helm. So I don't think turning our backs on them does anyone any favours....unless your happy to see the Arabs run the show.

Papers claiming there’s high tension between Pellegrini and the management. He and Mancini had gone to them to protest against sacking De Rossi and tried to convince them to reverse it.

    Doubt he’s the only one.

Jesus, she sacked DDR just to resign within a week, it is a joke

I feel like the police protection story is just some media cover for her to resign with some kind of reason that isn't her terrible decision making

Ok, stage your protest today then get behind the damn team again.

(I want a full stadium when I'm at the Atalanta game!)

Repeat after me - football CEO are decorative, especially when you hire imcompetent fools.

If the owner doesn't have the brains to slaughter and hang based on football skills alone, it's the sporting director's job.

    What a ********ing shitshow.
