This is now the 11th time we get a new coach since the club was sold 13 years ago. Apart from our caretaker coaches (Andreazzoli, Ranieri) DDR's was the shortest stint in that period (one game less than Zeman).

Who the hell gives a coach a 3 year deal and 100 million to spend just to sack him after 4 games. Even Madrid or Chelsea at their absolute cutthroat haven’t done that. Especially to De Rossi of all managers. ********ing idiots. I was pretty worried for him as the gap to 4th is already growing, and I didn’t think they would give him the chance to turn it around if it got too big. But not even giving him to October is mad.

Juric is a good coach and will probably get the team well organized. But what the hell was the point of the last 3 months?

@ErPupone, It looks like your post from Sunday has now been forgotten..

They didn't hire Allegri or Ranieri and hope to be proven wrong but I think Roma ended up worse with Ivan Juric.

Yes, I've been wrong with every single point in that post. I've gotten used to a lot in the last few years but never ever would I have expected our management to be this stupid and incapable.

She has fired almost all of the Roma office staff since she arrived. The last straw for her was DDR telling the press that banning Zalewski was the clubs idea, he (DDR) wanted him to be part of the squad.

This is what you get with a DEI CEO.

To further add to the idiocy, you literally just had an international break. If DDR was that close to being fired, why not do it before so Juric has two weeks to work with the team?

Hopefully the Friedkins ******** off to Everton.

Dan Friedkin net worth is $7.6 billion USD.

Maybe he has money to burn and doesn't care that he will be paying DDR 300 million altogether on 3 year deal?

On the other hand, why would Daniele take another job and a paycut for a lesser club and who will else give him that money?

I think the only guy who came out of this in the end is DeRossi.

He will be making more now doing nothing than when he was playing.....

i did wonder about this when he mentioned it in the press conference, DDR is always very diplomatic with the media but that statement seemed like a dig at the directors (especially him saying it was a company decision, not his)

Sure De Rossi will sit at home and collect money, but it’s not a good thing for his coaching career. I hope he’ll find another job soon

It might be good for DDR to continue at a smaller team and slowly getting his experience before moving to Roma again.
It was a but fairytale to be honest to expect him being the lord out of nowhere after his experience in Spal.

well this is the only good thing i can think of

He had no coaching career before and has none now.

DeRossi will only be 44 in 3 years time and that is still fairly young to be a coach.

If coaching is really what he wants to do, then he has a lot of time to figure it out and in the meantime, he has money to show for it.

If anything, he just made 300 million for 8 month's of work.

That is a pretty good deal I'd say...

Apparently Pioli was first choice but he turned them down.

    Maybe it's €100 mil...

    According to @ErPupone ....

"The owners just gave DDR a 3 year contract and 100m to splash on the transfer market".

Either way, DDR is set for life.

Ok well that is a different story.

It is still pretty decent salary for doing nothing and/or 8 month's of work.

Who in Italy makes this, especially after they get fired?

If they wanted him to be our Gasperini, they would have given him more than a 1 year contract

Let's hope he starts with a win or the noise around the club is only going to get louder

DDR looked positively relaxed leaving the training ground today, I wonder if he feels some relief to be out of this situation
