As pissed as I am disappointed and concerned with the start, spare me the DDR replacement talk shite. The only exception there is if the team continues to knock around the relegation zone for a prolonged period (very unlikely).

The fans will turn on the players before they ever turn on a club legend.

He’s really got to figure out a formation and stick with it for a handful of games. Way too much tweaking from one game to another.

I do worry for him, there’s already a gap to 4th, and if it grows too much more I think he may be cut loose before the season is completely lost. This has also been the “easier” run of the schedule, it gets a lot worse end of October into November.

I can only imagine there must have been some sort of internal bust up. No way this can be purely based off results this quickly.

This decision is certainly going to up the temperature surrounding the club in the city.

Well, on the bright side, at least Pellegrini is still captain, right? Coaches come and go for not getting results, but he gets to stick around no matter how sh!t he's playing.

I wish for Klopp,Pioli or Juric to guide this team. But Roma are linked with Terzic and Tuchel.

Tensions between DDR and Soulouku to the point of unrepairable damage.

The Greeks are at it again @Andreas

Pioli is Lazio scum and on his way to Riad. Proper coach tho. Terzic is just shite. Tuchel's a good coach but a difficult character and probably not the best choice for the environment in Rome. On the other hand he's the one most likely to get us rid of Pellegrini.

If the reports are true that the Friedkins sided with Soulouku over DDR it's not a good look.

On one side I see the reason of sacking an underperforming manager early, many called for this with Mou last year and other countless times in Roma's history. Maybe this is the Friedkins' way of learning from their mistakes (they wanted to fire Mou much earlier but held on to him because of Pinto's direction).

On the other hand, this was a tumultuous market, time should be granted for the team to settle. As much of a success as the market has been to fix the wage bill, bring in promising talents, Koné & Soulé, and plugging some much needed holes the market wasn't exactly ideal. The Dybala saga, the balance act of trying to fit Dovbyk/Soulé/Dybala and two signings after the market closed. DDR should've been given at least time for the team to settle, sacking a hero like this will lose a lot of good faith amongst the tifosi.

Edit: forgot to mention DDR's relationship with certain players should be questioned, but again not enough time was given to see how he would've resolved this.

its strange, I understand the results have been poor this season but some of the signings came so late… I mean we just got Hummels & Hermoso who aren’t even fully fit, whole new midfield… new striker and winger… strange not to give him some time imo…

Terzic would be a funny hire, isn’t he the reason Hummels quit Dortmund?

Lucky Sperm wanted to fire Jose then but Dan held off. He better not be involved again. This decision shows the failure in the board level again. The coach and the DS need to be joined at the hip. They work forward together but reports now saying they also have different views. How can you hire a guy before seeing do they gel with the manager. This really isnt difficult to arrange but they continue to make a mess every year. What you have is suits who have no clue sticking their nose in due to financial worries. Well football doesnt work so smoothly with a host of new signings at the last minute. Over reactive, emotional, clueless. Welcome to Roma.

According to Di Marzio, Juric is currently gaining traction and could overtake other candidates in the race to become Roma’s next manager.

At the moment, other options include Edin Terzic and Thomas Tuchel.

I honestly thought that was some sort of onion article when I see DDR sacked. Another nice memory for Pellegrini's career. 20 secs left to kick the ball down the pitch and see out the game.

I mean, there weren't many better realistic options out there because I don't think that someone like Klopp or interesting options like Schmidt and Conceicao take over mid season in such a situation. But get ready to see Pellegrini as a trequartista in the 3412 or LW in a 3421.
