Your boys play Wensday night at 7:30 pm at UTD against the Texas Spurs. If you are needing your Burn fix and can't wait until Saturday now is the chance to see your boys close up. Adults $5. Just for the record the U. of Dallas field is REAL GRASS.. Rumors are that the Burn will start it's regular 11. Should be worth watching. Last year the Burn won 1-0 with a goal in the 86th minute. The Spurs team is no slouch. Come join us..

    5-0 Burn

    Starters
    Cassar
    Salyer Thomas Behncke Broome
    Rosenband Davis Stone Chivas
    Cerritos EJ

1st half goals by Davis on a free kick, Martinez, Cerritos and Broome.

With 30 minutes to go Jeffries substituted all the players except for Davis and Cassar with the regular starters. Rhine scored the 5th goal.

    Brief Comments:

EJ is playing himself off the team. No individual skills coupled with a lack of positional sense and absolutely no hustle.

Cerritos on the other hand did everything we keep hoping to see from EJ. Runs into space, quick combinations, finishing his chances.

Only Suarez would get in a fight during an exhibition blowout. Good thing the players broke it up, it looked like that guy was going to kick his arse.

The game on the irregularly leveled but natural surface of UTD was so much better than what we see at Dragon Stadium. The players actually could string passes in tight quarters without the ball constantly going out of bounds. Burn players were slide tackling just for the fun of it.

I won a buck from El Jefe when the starters did not let a goal in.

    Re: 5-0 Burn

The guy kicked him twice point blank when Suarez was down. I for one was very pleased to see Suarez get up to protect himself, and the other players who immediatly came in to stand up for him to.
