6 games in and we are heading back to the HS plastic the Burn call home. Preview - Dallas Burn vs. Los Angeles Galaxy - LARS
It's better to go to Texas now than in July or August. Maybe while the Texas Rangers are looking for the runaway Texas state legislators, they can keep an eye out for the Galaxy midfield. The Galaxy midfield has been missing for several weeks now.
Like the great Red Barber, I never make predictions about games, but Jeff Bradley and MarK Connolly of MLSNET both do. Bradly: LAG 2 - DAL 3 Connolly: LAG 3 - DAL 1 Amazing fact No. 1: Both experts think LAG will score this week Even more Amazing fact No.2: Both experts think LAG will score more than one goal!
I assume that APC won't be making this trip now, will he? Sigi should tweak the lineup a little for this match, benching the usual starters & seeing what the others can do.
Just got off the phone with Sigi. He said we'll see some lineup changes, saying sometimes guys subconciously get comfortable after a championship. Wants to see effort and hard work Saturday. He still thinks it's not a question of talent, but rather passion. Team still has the goals of championships in the US Open Cup and of course MLS Cup. I'll be using some of the cuts from the interview tomorrow morning. (shameless plug)
However, I am wondering what sort of herb Bradley is smoking to make him think that the Burn will score three goals. This season, we've been good for one goal a game, tops.
Probably some cuts during the late morning updates, because of the Lakers tonight. They'll dominate the early morning.
According to Llew Llewellan on CSN Simon and Crash will be on the bench and GG and Cien will start in their place.

fixed post said post fixed and re-worded as the author of said post is still reeling from last night's laker defeat. may ROBERT HORRY meet a certain Columbian Goalkeeper's fate soon.
TJ, I feel your pain. Take a deep breath. Hold it. Exhale very slowly. Repeat as necessary. Say to yourself: Only 3 more weeks, only three more weeks, only three more weeks.....
While I think it is great that Sigi is looking to make changes by starting Cinefuegos and Glinton. I have to admit I was somewhat shocked to find out that Marshall was also slated to be benched in this game. For the most part it has been the play of Hartman and the back 3 which has kept the Galaxy competitive with the obvious exception being the New England game where Marshall and Califf had just returned from playing 90 minutes with their respective National Teams. Yet there still is no mention of benching EZ or Victorine... which have for the most part stunk up the stadium in every match so far this season. While I think it is great it appears that he is making a concerted effort to get Lewis palying time... I still don't see him trying to strengthen the midfield the obvious weekness of the team, by finding playing time for Retiz and Ochoa
All I can think of is that he is seeing Ochoa and Retiz in practice and they haven't shown him that they are ready yet.
Burn - G's [R] HOLY HELL MOTHER OF GOD!! BEST GOAL IN MLS HISTORY!!!!!! GLINTONNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the Burn Fans are going nuts!! "Left the Net IN TAT-TERS" - Allen Hopkins Breathe...Tree...Breathe...
Ok..I'm calm now...maybe not the best in HISTORY...but damn...that ball was going about 100 MPH...That volley was better than Zidane's in last years CL Final... We are KILLING Dallas...should be at least 4-0 by now...A miracle save by Countess and a header off the line by Pareja have saved the Burn thusfar... Hope we dont revert in the second half
Hartman got lost on that Davis goal. Did anyone notice him jerk in shock when he realized that the ball he thought was going wide cracked the back of the net instead? It's a damn shame, too. Hartman has been brilliant for a lackluster side for the last five games, then has a somewhat off day when the Gs actually showed that they had a pulse.
