Toni's name is listed on the roster at MLSnet.com

Why is he not listed as a "senior international"?

    Is that just a typo?

Also, will the signing of Toni mean that Mario "El Loco" Rodriguez isn't coming?

Yes about half the time. The higher profile the player the more the team pays. Which is why many trialists were brought in when they were in Chile instead of flying them to the US.

Yes that is a mistake. Toni is a SI.

From the department of self promotion....

The answer to this and almost any other question about the Dallas Burn can be found at 3rd Degree.

But the answer is yes. Toni is not a max salary player which leaves the Burn some room as they had room for a Max. In addition Carl's BUssey's release opens up a small amount. They also COULD get some money for a replacement for Ronnie O'Brien IF they put him on season ending IR.

Rodriguez is still going to come in for a look as soon as his club is eliminated (or wins) from their playoffs.

Easy decision with Salyer vs. Bussey--one knows how to play soccer and the other one doesn't. Carl Bussey is a HUGE project.

Why is Nhleko an SI? Toni's just 23 years old and not a max salary type player so I'd think he'd be categorized as a TI.
