    Wouldn't it be great?

To have D'Alessandro come in would be amazing. The squad would be virtually a trinity of the future Argentinian national team. And with Saviola and D'Alessandro's friendship from River to fall back on for understanding on the pitch, plus the vision and developing play of Riquelme, I'd soon start to forget that FC Barcelona was founded as a club for Catalunya. Whether D'Alessandro will come or not is all speculation at this point. But if Real Madrid can get Ronaldo after all the bullsh-- about him not coming, then what isn't possible in the Spanish transfer market?

Saviola and D'Alessandro didn't play together for River. Aimar was the creative midfielder when Saviola was at River Plate.

    Mea culpa

My mistake for commenting on D'Alessandro and Saviola playing together at River Plate. I was confusing that with their performance at the youth championship last year in Argentina (where by the way, as I'm sure you remember, they were sensational together). It was Aimar who was the midfield maestro before he went off to Valencia. It still doesn't change my wish to see D'Alessandro at Barcelona. Imagine Riquelme, D'Alessandro and Saviola together? It could be the new great trio since the Van Basten-Rijkaard-Gullit lineup from Holland at Milan.

How would we get around the Non-EU thing? Does he have an Italian Passport?

And do they give those out when you leave the airport there? ;)

Rumor has it that if your from Argentina or Uruguay and can kick a soccer ball your an italian, they will issue a passport of someone who has been dead a few years and you're good to go, just ask Barata from Tenerife. That's what he did!

The American mafia must be kicking themselves in the ass for not having gotten involved in the passport trade for these players! They could be making millions!

Yes, he plays even as a playmaker but he's leftfooted so I'd say his addition will make Romy to play as a wide player and hopefully as a starter!

    Andres' parents are from ReggioCalabria
