"In last week's Fire-Rapids game, the captain's armband made a nice tour through the roster as Sarachan removed veteran players when the game appeared locked up. When team captain Chris Armas left after 57 minutes, the armband was turned over to goalkeeper Zach Thornton. When Henry Ring came in for Thornton in the 79th minute, Thornton gave the armband to Ante Razov. Razov was lifted in the 82nd minute, and the armband was then given to defender Carlos Bocanegra." I forgot to mention this about last week's game...that has to be the first time that 4 different Fire players had the armband on during 1 game.
I recall the captain's armband going around like musical chairs in one our friendlies at Soldier Field, but I forget which one.
