thanks for the links. this'll be my first outing to cardinal, and I was interested in the 'where to park' article, except they only talked about where to get ticketed or towed. anyone have good parking info for a new guy?
liam, alf... add this to the info thread? Directions Cardinal Stadium is located just Southeast of the corner of Washington Street and Chicago Avenue in downtown Naperville. Parking is not available at the site. Please visit here for directions to gameday parking lots. From Chicago: I-290 West to I-88 West. Exit Naperville Road. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Take Naper Blvd. south to Chicago Avenue. Turn right on Chicago Avenue to Brainard Street. Turn Left on Brainard Street. From the North: South on I-355 to Maple Avenue. Exit Maple Avenue West. Street changes name (at Naper Blvd) to Chicago Avenue. Continue West to Brainard Street and turn Left. From the South: I55 to I-355 North to Maple Avenue. Exit Maple Avenue West. Street changes name (at Naper Blvd) to Chicago Avenue. Continue West to Brainard Street. From the West: Take New York Street or Route 34 to Aurora Avenue. Take Aurora Avenue East to Washington Street. Turn Left on Washington Street to Chicago Avenue. Turn Right on Chicago Avenue to Brainard Street and turn Right. Parking Parking in the vicinity of Cardinal Stadium and downtown Naperville will be extremely limited and strictly controlled. Your cooperation is appreciated. Please check this space frequently for parking updates. Season Ticket Holders Season ticket holder lots are located within 4-6 blocks of Cardinal Stadium. Admission to these lots is by season pass only. Group Sales If you obtain your tickets through the Fire's group sales department, your group can pre-purchase parking at Lucent Technologies. Located on 1/4-mile North of I-88 at Naperville Road, the Lucent lot offers the easiest arrival and departure to Cardinal Stadium. Simply park your car, and hop on our free shuttle. Catch the free return shuttle up to three hours after the game ends and avoid all downtown traffic congestion. Day of Game Parking Parking is restricted in the vicinity of Cardinal Stadium. Cars illegally parked on any residential street in the immediate neighborhood will be towed. Timed parking zones will be strictly monitored and cars that exceed the maximum time limit will be subject to ticketing and/or towing. Day of game parking is available at Lucent Technologies ($7 including r/t shuttle) or Naperville Central High Schol ($10). Lots will open three hours before kickoff. Lucent Technologies is located 1/4-mile North of I-88 at Naperville Road. The Lucent lot offers the easiest arrival and departure to Cardinal Stadium. Simply park your car, and hop on our free shuttle. Catch the free return shuttle up to three hours after the game ends and avoid all downtown traffic congestion. Be sure to hang the parking pass you will receive on your rear view mirror after entering the lot. Cars parked in unauthorized areas will be towed at the owner's expense.
