It's possible, but I think Jody Morris is now more likely to be the player Hoddle will sign for the (defensive) Centre Midfield spot. Morris is a good player, even if he does have a bad attitude.

He's also free which leaves the alleged 8 million transfer kitty fully available for the two top strikers we need.

been rumored for a while - either way a step up from Bung-hole-jecevic. BTW, did Hoddle really throw in a 1.5 mm bid for Zamora? What a cheap-o!!!

I can probably find a link or two for the Morris thing (Planetfootball Spurs page is usually the easiest), although it's been quiet for about a month as it looked like he was going to Blackburn (which has now fallen through).

Hoddle gave Morris his debut at Chelsea, Morris is also a London kid, so a Spurs move is logical and I'd be suprised if it doesn't happen. After all if Lee Bowyer is not considered too controversial for us to bid for, then I don't see why Morris should be ruled out.

As for Zamora, I don't blame Hoddle for only bidding low for him, he's a division 2 player now and Brighton can't afford to be demanding. Kanoute is the opposite, I don't think he's worth the 3.5 we apparently offered, let alone the 6 that West Ham want. He's a French Steffen Iverson (but with a bit more pace).
