    Grossman out with ankle fracture.
    Well now we get to see what Orton can do cause Hutchinson isn't going to cut it.
    Glad they didn't try to sign a vet QB in the offseason.

    It gets better, they signed Jeff Blake. Now they are set at QB for what a qtr or 2?

    There's a serious lack of talent out there right now. Maybe Rich Gannon isn't serious about retiring.

    I wouldn't be shocked if the Pats end up releasing Rohan Davey. You may want to give him a look. There's a battle between Davey, Flutie, and rookie Matt Cassel for the two spots behind Brady. All the reports have Cassel being impressive so far, leaving Davey potentially out. Now he hasn't been too effective in the preseason games for the Pats he's played in the last couple of years, including this year vs. the Bengals, but he lit up NFL Europe a season ago on the way to that league's title. It might be that he's just not a good fit for the Patriots scheme, and would be better served somewhere else. If he is cut, the Bears may want to at least give him a shot. If not, he has enough talent that someone will.

    FFS the Bears are now on the clock for the 2006 draft. :(
