As reported in NY Newsday today, despite the seeming lack of evidence, the reports issued by the Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation, and Arms Control Center, headed by the CIA, have been inexplicably increasing their perception of a threat regarding Syria having a nuclear weapons program, similar to the way "intelligence" magnified the threat from Iraq (and we all know how credible that turned out to be). "We are looking at Syrian nuclear intentions with growing concern," [the Center] said in its semi-annual report to Congress this week." That, despite the fact that other experts describe "Syria's nuclear weapons program as 'starting from less than scratch'." Look's like Perle, Feith and Wurmser are forging ahead with their 1996 "Clean Break" strategy.
It's an empty threat. We don't have the soldiers. I don't think Bush is gonna bring back the draft so that we can find enough soldiers to conquer Syria.
