This game was horrible, i have never seen Turkey play like this in the last few years. But I dont believe its the teams fault, there were many tactical errors made by Senol Gunes, by playing Deniz in the defense instead of solid Bulent Korkmaz.
I feel that Yildiray Basturk has been playing worse, maybe its because of Leverkusens downfall. Turkey had no midfield wih the absence of Highly skilled players like Emre Belezoglu and Nihat Kaveci.
There was no heart and effort put into the game, and this was embarrasing. The point is that the Czechs are definitly a World Class team, and for Turkey, if they dont get there act together, they might lose everything that they have worked for in the last 10 years, respect. Senol has no right to mix and match players who have been playing so long. I wouldnt be a bit surprised if he was fired, and im sure he would have been if more goals were scored in the Czechs outstanding 4-0 victory.

All im saying is that Turkey need to get there acts straight or they will have to prove their quality all over again in Euro2004.

I only watched the highlights and only the goals to be exact! So, besides a silly defensive error after another I have no more to say!

However, The Czech rep. are a very good team again after a long time and if Turkey lost their cohesion and concentration at some points of the gamr then the core is not that irrational, despite your good World Cup run... I agree you need to remain serious or you'll lose all the great things you achieved and this always starts from within the players minds, because good players you already got and now everybody knows that.

only thing that i remember from the match report is that all the goals were in the 1st half. anyway i still believe turkey is a likely canidate to win euro 04, but this game did improve my opinion of the czech republic.
