Well it's over boys. I don't see how we will beat Turkey and even if we do, our GD is god awful at this point.
This is disgraceful management all around, Vrba's job should no longer be considered secure after this.
We've beaten them before (also lost), but I don't see any indication that we have any fight or belief
I just don't get why he changed our gameplan so abruptly. I understand playing a bit more defensive against Spain, but coming out like we did against Croatia is strange. We always played attacking under Vrba. We conceded goals, but we scored more.
Skoda or Necid needed to start this game. I said it before the game started, Croatia's defense sucked against crosses against Turkey. AND what do you know, we scored off a cross.
I don't care if we are given anything from this, but Croatia has an element of their fanbase that is pure barbarism. Remember this happened in qualifications.
If we can take that momentum from late in the match forward we have a good chance against Turkey. Shame none of those stoppage time opportunities went in,would have been great to steal the 3 points.
Vrba ultimately cost us this game. Inexcusable on his part. Unfortunately, Rosicky looks like he pulled his hamstring.
So I assume Rosicky is out now. He was barely moving on the field. Going forward I think the 4-4-2 is ideal for us. Skoda and Necid up top and only cross?
Too risky to start. We need a packed midfield. Bilek put two target men (Kozak and Rabusic) against Armenia a few years back, and it was a disaster.
Just seen that second goal from Croatia. I blamed Hubnik, but Cech deserves some of it too. That was idiotic to throw it like that.
