We’re not playing poorly at all though. Having some possession, but Krmencik and Masopust just really neutralize our own attack.
Frustrating. Our depth really isn't good. I'd like to see vydra up top in the 2nd half. Maybe also take off Masopust. Hell just sub vydra for Masopust.
Pavlenka can’t distribute the ball and it’s the reason he isn’t playing for a better club as great a shot stopper as he is.
Schick and Soucek coming on to save us. Barak and Krmencik off. Zima for Celustka as well. So I guess the midfield for the euros is Soucek, Kral, Darida.
I missed the first half, from the goals, the first is mostly on Brabec for the poor clearance. The 2nd isn't really anyone's fault, just terrible luck. Can't comment otherwise
We took Jankto off before he could play white wedding.... Honestly we look very off, not just the lineup but several individual players look almost worn out.
Brabec cannot under any circumstances start, although from what I've seen Coufal did not bring his West Ham form with him.
Just by virtue of pace, Zima is a better defensive option as he can at least potentially provide cover when we inevitably ******** up. Edit: As I write that he gets caught out, so no matter who we pick defense will have weaknesses. I still maintain that Darida-Soucek-Kral doesn't work, its too redundant.
I honestly hope we find a new coach after the Euros. Obviously won’t happen with how complacent our FA is.
Yep, and don’t expect Silhavy to change it. Barak needs to start somehow. I also believe Kalvach has arguably the best technique of any Czech midfielder and would really help with possession.
Our defense is just not that good. As a whole, our team is not that good either. We have some decent players in this squad, but you're only as good as your weakest link. Our defense is atrocious, and our offense is not very great either. I think the Tuchel system of 5-3-2 works best for us. ------------------Schick-----------Vydra---------------- ---------Jankto---------Kral----------Soucek-------- -Boril----------------------------------------Kaderabek- -----------Čelůstka------Kalas-------Coufal----------- ----------------------------Vacllik--------------------------
I agree about switching to a three or five at the back system, but I doubt we’ll ever try it under Silhavy. I’m hoping we eventually appoint our first foreign manager if Trpisovsky remains with Slavia long term.
Based off of this appalling performance, I’d rather just lineup another mix of starters and back ups against Albania. There were too many players who clearly need a break and I’d prefer they just rest up for the tournament at this point.
I agree, but also I think we need our midfielders who will be starting against Scotland starting in that one. They need as many minutes as they can to gel. Defense is a mess. I really don't know what to do. It's too late to change formation, but I really think we need one more defender out there, or just hope Celustka will somehow turn into prime Ujfaluši.
With everyone healthy and available, I’d lineup against Scotland like this: ————————Schick——————- -Jankto————————————-Hlozek- ————————Barak———————— ————-Kral——————Soucek———- -Boril——-Kalas—-——Celustka——Coufal- ————————Vaclik————————— We can adjust to a 4-4-2 diamond at any point and have our best players in midfield and attack. Just have to hope Kalas and Celustka step up, but otherwise that’s our safest pairing right now.
