We tried to play a bit for 20 minutes or so, but had to retreat back to our usual terrorball.

Koubek is worse than Hasek. I actually miss Silhavy lol.

Doudera is so bad. We seriously can’t bring Sochurek on? At least Nedved is leaving with good company.

Feels like one by one every player over 30 is retiring from the national team after this, most significantly so far is Schick although most believe he could probably talked out of it if things turnaround.

Biggest other question is probably Soucek, especially with the injury in that disaster of a 2nd half.

Schick quitting is a monumental failure for our FA and for me personally, probably the lowest I’ve felt as a longtime supporter. This really hurts, but I can’t say I’m surprised.

It’s a shame that one of the best players we’ve ever produced retires at 30 with just 56 caps to his name, albeit due to injuries, but his health has improved in recent seasons.

I envy all of the well functioning national teams whose star players are still representing in their mid to late thirties.

But, we have only ourselves to blame. We’ve fostered the most toxic anti-football culture that alienates unique talent. Our system is clearly broken and methods severely outdated.

Massive credit to Krejci for rightfully calling it out. His delivery? Fine by me. Actually came off very authentic, unlike any words spoken by Trunda, Nedved, or Koubek.

Why is there talk of Klinsmann being named manager, he's failed so many times in so many places.
