Podle posledních informací by mohl Ivana Haška v pozici reprezentačního trenéra nahradit mladý perspektivní 🇮🇹 trenér Pedro Radatelli. pic.twitter.com/xa2Rvre1YI— Vory (@acsvory) September 10, 2024 I laugh, but he’s probably on the shortlist of replacements somehow.
Playing in our largest, most modern stadium and the field is in similar condition to a fourth division pitch.
I don't really feel we're playing all that much better than against Georgia, just they messed up first instead of us. Granted I was busy until right when we scored so maybe missed better play in the open.
Somewhere a Viktoria Plzen accountant is smiling... Easily our best player this half wither Cerny probably next.
On the other side of player performances our defense on the left half of the field is a joke, and I feel like Zeleny (who is not up to this level in my opinion, but here we are...) is unclear if he is a true leftback or supposed to be in the center, and Krejci's positioning isn't making any clearer.
I thought we were the better team prior to our opening goal, but then became complacent and let Ukraine back into the game. It’s still not at the level needed to be, but it makes such a difference having skilled players like Sulc and Cerny in attack. Plus this formation finally allows us to have the numbers we need in midfield while reintroducing proper wing play that we very much lacked. Krejci has been a disaster in defence, making two outrageous errors at the start. Thankfully Vitik is a stud and put out the fires.
In a back four, Vitik and Hranac should be the clear pairing. They both are capable of managing it and also played alongside each other at the U-21 level.
Happy to beat an opponent I consider to be superior to us, but that performance overall is hardly worth celebrating. I feel torn to be honest. Top three were Sulc, Cerny, and Vitik.
My excitement for the national team is probably at its lowest since 2017/18 during the Jarolim era despite our clubs and player pool being considerably worse back then. Kinsky is so good that he gets called up to the U-21 and A team in the same week. But seriously, do Hasek and Suchoparek not communicate regularly or have offices right next to each other? I don’t even want to imagine what a conversation between the two would sound like.. Can’t argue his form, but a 31 year-old Kliment who’s barely done anything in his career apart from this current hot streak isn’t international material in my opinion, and certainly not a prospect for the World Cup cycle either.
Reprezentace se v Praze sešla k říjnovému srazu, v rámci kterého odehraje další dva zápasy Ligy národů. 🇨🇿 Realizační tým zároveň udělal hned několik změn v nominaci. 🔄Více informací: https://t.co/uFa4d3pmFI pic.twitter.com/JWkX4ksbO7— Česká fotbalová reprezentace (@ceskarepre_cz) October 7, 2024 So much for building towards the World Cup recalling Kliment and Boril who are in the twilight of their careers. This is Silhavy levels of shocking. Boril is having a great season thus far and a surprising resurgence for sure, but again, what’s the point? If you’re going to call up Hranac, why not just take Jurasek as well? Havel and Zmrzly have no business being there. I guess Hasek and his staff are no longer looking ahead to the future and are solely focused on keeping their jobs until November at the very least. Now I think I’ll actually cheer for us to lose.
I'll be in the Berkshire mountains enjoying autumn scenery and crisp air while this fiasco is playing out. Normally, I would try to set aside time to watch, but I think I'm okay to skip this one and watch highlights (if there are any) afterwards.
The October international breaks almost always wrap around Canadian Thanksgiving, so I’ll have the time off to watch but won’t hesitate to do other things if today is another debacle.
