What were you doing? Playing footie? Tennis?
    Sorry to hear that, btw

A bit late now for your usage at present - and it doesn;t work for everyone ( I personally think natural foot plant stance has a lot to do with getting knee twists and tears - and I tend to run on the ball of my feet with lesser ground contact) -- but, in any case, I wear these Kevlar (I think they are) Pro-Tec supports. Rub warming Tiger Balm first and then the sleeve heats the whole knee up to make it feel strong.
If I didn't wear this my left knee would simply give out and buckle when I try to run around. But this works great.

Sports Basement sells these things at $27.99 or something - not the $50 listed here....

Yup, on the ear. Had the same monstrous bandage for a day or two but none of the swelling you had. I just looked like I got the worst of a knife fight.

Basketball for both injuries ... sadly I probably have to stop that sport which I love for the workout - and limit to tennis once I am recovered.

Y’know for a country that supposedly held none of the cards when it was in the Oval Office, it’s funny how, having redefined warfare with the use of drones, this is both serious and very funny.

I read this thread (good, snarky political combo!) but do not post.

    That said, man, that sucks.

    I hope you get better!

The great irony is that ,contrary to being a rather sedentary, slow-paced game designed for geriatrics pickleball is full of fast, slashing movements and therefor very hard on joints. It's produced a huge number of serious injuries. So, yeah, for a lot of different reasons stay far away from the pickleball courts.

A fair bit of money being wagered on Gary Neville being the next Lord Mayor of Manchester.

A bit of Inside (UK) Politics here. The present Lord Mayor is Andy Burnham. A Scouser as it happens, and a blue nose. Andy was the politician most responsible for making the Hillsborough Inquiry a viable entity. Good man, charismatic and generally well liked. He’s seen as a very definite possibility to replacing Kier Starmer as PM. But he has to be an MP.

The smart money says he’s going to resign as Manchester Lord Mayor, run for an open seat and upend Kier Starmer. Which would leave the position of Lord Mayor of Manchester open, so enter Gary Neville who has enough credibility (probably) to be elected.

I read today that a Labour MP has agreed to step aside to allow Burnham to run.

I'll ignore the rest of your post - Neville .... ha!!

Whoo-dawwwggies. A rumor that’s gaining credence. Lumpy doesn’t think Vance has it for the jump up. So he’s considering backing for 2028…Hegseth!

    PLEEEEEEEAAAASE!!!!

(My guess it'd never happen, I think Rubio will get the nod -- assuming the US hasn't completed its decline into an anti-democratic cesspit and the Turd gets to stay.)
