With Gianni Infantino gazing adoringly from his basket in the corner, the 47th president of the United States of America also tried unsuccessfully to bait some or all of his visitors into making transphobic comments. Showing all the enthusiasm and joie de vivre of captives in a hostage video, a group of players including USA USA USA internationals Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah looked on with a mixture of thinly veiled contempt and … no, just thinly veiled contempt. Speaking after Juve’s win over Al Ain later that evening, Weah stated that he and his teammates had been forced into participating in this tawdry photo op by their employers. “It was all a surprise to me, honestly,” he sighed. “They told us that we have to go and I had no choice but to go. I was caught by surprise, honestly. It was a bit weird. When he started talking about the politics with Iran and everything, it’s kind of like … I just want to play football, man.” Previously an outspoken critic of Trump’s disregard for black people among his myriad other shortcomings, McKennie stayed silent on this occasion but, if looks could kill, the midfielder would almost certainly have been bundled out of the office by the president’s secret service detail.
So, I take it he hasn't been in that building then - other than as a video guest...... aha - but that's a conclusion - not a standard initial deduction!
Interesting. Let’s see how this plays out. The Dodgers, straight up and bluntly told ICE to f.uck off. Refused them access to the stadium, refused them permission to use the parking lot as a staging area. Basically told them they weren’t welcome and to f.uck right off. Private entity and all that, they’re not obliged to carry out/enforce government policy. Lumpy don’t take kindly to this sort of thing. Let’s see how the Dodgers are targeted in the next few weeks. (Y’know, it’s pathetic that I’m even writing that last sentence).
Yeah - I've ben on a couple, but I dont; set them up usually - nor do I pay much attention to the room anyone is sitting in.... They could be in the Boot Room at Anfield and I probably wouldn't notice....
Anyone know what's powering this guy's glide before he uses the chute? A rocket-pack or something? Pretty crazy stuff... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/uE00csJFxPo?feature=share

Basically he’s the guy who is head of counter-terrorism for the US, the person responsible for keeping US cities, grid network, infrastructure and so forth, safe and intact. Thomas Fugate is 22. Prior to being appointed, his work experience was as follows: * Lawn care work around my neighborhood * Part time worker as a clerk at an H-E-B supermarket The only question is why he wasn’t appointed sooner.
just reported on the Guardian site: Iran’s parliament has voted to shut down the vital Hormuz shipping channel in retaliation against Donald Trump’s attack on the country, prompting fears of a sharp spike in oil prices that could cause a global recession. A barrel of Brent crude was selling for about $77 on Friday, having risen by more than 10% since mid-June when Israel’s attack on Iranian nuclear sites prompted missile strikes from Tehran against Tel Aviv. But Trump’s decision to follow Israel by launching a US attack on Iran has set off a chain of events that analysts warned could drive prices up much further when markets open at 11pm UK time on Sunday. A fifth of the world’s oil consumption flows through the strait of Hormuz, which is a gateway out of the Persian Gulf.
