Today ex-CyberRay Kelly Lindsey was named head coach of Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA. This solid WCC program has foundered recently after former coach Paul Ratcliffe moved to Stanford and former Stanford co-head coach Paul Sapsford took over the Gaels. After the WUSA folded, Kelly had assistant coaching stints at Colorado and Texas under Bill Hempen and Chris Petrucelli. A great resume, but it's far more impressive to be appointed head coach of a Division I school in such a competetive conference. At age 26, no less. Many former WUSA players have moved into assistant coach positions, but I think Kelly is the first to be named a solo Div I head coach.
