Stacy Albarico is really Stacey Albercio, formerly Stacey Savage who played @ SJSU. (watched her play while growing up) :)

No Linnea Quinnones - guess the C-Rays have given up on her.
Does anyone know if Kim Patrick, Univ of Tenn, (Foothill HS in Pleasanton, CA) is getting a tryout anywhere?

As far as I know the Beat is one team she is going to tryout with.

About 10 days ago Kim Patrick was listed as trying out with the Breakers on 24 Feb (Mon).- info posted on a Breakers web site article.

    Wow. Someone listened!

It's also good to see Megan Horvath and Christina Bell being given another chance, but I have to admit I'm really rooting for Ann Cook. Other than Stacy Albarico, who is listed as M/F, Ann's the only midfielder on the tryout roster.

This might just be an error, but while the press release refers to 16 players signed to contract (excluding the 2003 draft picks), the roster posted above shows just 14.

Of the 16 whose contracts were supposedly optioned, Lisa Nanez and Maren Hendershot are listed as tryouts:

While this is probably a typo, in my opinion Nanez and Hendershot are the two most questionable players left on the roster. I still don't see how they could have been cut without going into the waiver pool, though.

Hendershott and Nanez were listed as waived in today's 'USA Today' transaction section.

but then if you look on the C-Ray's website under "The Team" they have Lisa and Maren with jersey numbers... the tryout players like Megan and Christina didn't get a jersey number...

    Over here!
Maybe the website's just not up-to-date. It's happened before.

Or maybe they weren't waived. Who knows! :p

At least we have some kind of list of who is at the 'Rays camp. I can't find one for San Diego yet.

Personally, I'm very glad to see both Bell and Cook among our tryout players.

    Maren

She had better not been waived. I was coming over here to see what was was going on with her. She would be a good asset to the C-Rays. The Courage screwed up when they released her. Anyway, Go Maren, kick some butt.

    K~
