    Heres my black/lunar manias.

This is the second pair I've changed the colour of, and I know I've ruined one of the best looking boots ever, but in my defence the original colour had completely worn away and I thought I may as well see what they look like black and white.

I do kind of regret doing it now and I only did it yesterday. If anyone wants to buy them let me know - UK10.5. Though I don't think anyone will think they look nice.

Yeah they are pretty strange and not as good as original but they do look better in real life.

I had some black shoe dye/paint that you just paint on spare and the boots were worn through to the leather so I thought I should give it a try. I just masked off the rest to give a tidy finish. I paint itself works great and doesn't chip or rub off, its just that they don't look that nice now.

Well, you didn't have anything to loose to be honest if the boots were really scuffed up. I don't think they look that bad. I would just have blacked them out completely though. I think the whole half and half thing just makes them look a bit strange.

Looking at them again I think I will black out all of them. The problem is the paint I used for the upper was leather paint and I'm not sure what to use for the heel or the rest as it's all plastic. Any suggestions?

Well you could always leave the actual heal counter the cream colour? I don't think that would look too bad. But do the rest of the boot and see what it looks like? I personally think that would look better because it would probably look a bit neater.

After your advice I went ahead and blacked them all out, and I have to say thank you. They look so much better now. I used satin black spray paint meant for metal but it seems to have worked well at giving them a more protective coat.

They look really good like they were this colour originally. What do you think?

Very good! I'd be tempted to black out the tongue but they still look pretty cool like that. Good job!

I never really get why Adidas brought out the Champagne and the Lunar colourway because they were both so similar especially once they'd been worn a bit.

Thanks. I think they look much better now and maybe even better than the original colour. Just one thing though, does anyone have any suggestions of what I could use to protect the paint because I'm worried it'll chip and come off.

You need some sort of sealent. Maybe you could get something from a car shop in the spray paint range? If it does chip you can always re-spray it.

what would be real tight is if he could get the adidas symbol back to white... then black out the tongue. there's a tongue customization on here that could work for that though...

Anyways, I think they look much better now.

What do you guys think my best bet is for blacking out the stripes and various logos on my Rugby Absolutes? Specifically something durable that I can use on the Predator element.
