I've heard it damages the structure of the boot, so wouldn't recommend that. I'd say just paint them black mate.
Behind the middle stripe of the Copa, there's a big seam. Not sure if it applies to WC but I can only assume.
Kiongsm, on your mixed sole legend's.....have you wore them yet? How did you get on with the inserts in the front of the boot, did you get it flush to the inside of the sole? I think i may have asked you b4 on this when you done your morelia but do you get any rubbing on your toes with the studs at the front of the boot? I converted a pair of umbro speciali & ive only worn them a couple of times due to the insert not being fully flush & it giving me blisters on my toes.
colin, actually the nike legend 4 was converted for my teamate, i think not worn for games yet the 2 nuts in front are the most challenging! after drilling the holes, i use my finger to kinda push it in a bit then covering the upper with a thick towel and i just hammer it thru! it's kinda experiment, as i warned my teamate tht there will be some risk of damage but it turns out pretty ok the other 4 nuts - 2 mid n 2 rear, i use a big screw with a big flat surface and hammer it from the other end yeah, the front 2 nuts are not 100% flushed into the footbed, just tight enuff there may be some studs pressure felt but if the insole is good, then it shd be minimized the nike legend 4 is not the best boot to be converted, the 2 mid and 2 rear studs/blades has hollow hole after being cut-off, the surface is not sold flat as most boots oh, i didn't convert my morelia, i just added 2 studs at the heel > so, it's a 6x4 SI but i did with my ignitus MD, will hv to remove the 2 rear moulded blades as well - studs pressure felt, so it shd be a 4x4 > tho' the front is 4 exchangeable + a few of the moulded blades in between i just love the morelia SI in 6x4 > superb!!!!!
I'm thinking of blacking out the teal color from my CTRs, would 1oz of angelus be enough paint or should I just grab the 4oz bottle? Thanks
1oz is plenty. I would like to stress for everyone who is struggling with this method that you need to apply very thin layers at a time. I have tried this method several different ways. if you have leather dye also apply one coat of this first and let it dry. between each coat of paint make sure the previous coat is definitely dry unless it will rub off.
Hey everyone, just thought I would drop by and post some pics of a little project I'm working on! Currently in the process of blacking out my CTR360 trequartistas. I've only applied one rough coat so far, but they are looking quite decent!
I have some red adipures IV and I have removed the seams on all the adidas stripes. It is possible but the stripes have two seams. You have to carefully remove the white thread because there is also black thread holding up the boot.
Hey pal, it's just what I've heard! I'm sure you can do it, but as you say you'd have to be extremely careful!
They would have looked like that but there is no stitching on those Panfola D'oro...the holes on the adipure are there because there was stitching because of the adidas stripes
There are still a couple of stitchings holding up the boot...I accidently cut it with the seam ripper
Had a shitty pair of mundial turfs so decided to make a little project out of it. The pic is a little sloppy, but i cleaned them up nice and they look awesome (in my opinion). Cut off the lace cover and used acrylic paint. The whole bottom's are yellow as well. Let me know what yall think!!
Just 2 noob questions here, 1) What kinda brush to paint the shoe? 2) Is the paint will help the boots leather last longer as well?
