I don't agree with this. This isn't Paris Hilton or a Kadashian that the media is going after for cheap clicks. Don;t make this into some Michael Vick type defense bullshit.

Unfortunately, Brasil is a country where the public, which includes the media, are forced to pick up the slack of the justice system. He shouldn't stay home, but he shouldn't be making $ being a celebrity based off his sickening acts.

It doesn't matter what you make it into dude. It is a kardashian thing at a certain point when was your lost post made ? What brought you onto post ? Think clearly about this and humans are based of mythology good vs evil , the monsters in the dark , etc , all our thought patterns stem from this. The Media is making plenty of money of this too. And if you think he's free because of misogyny like the media is suggesting than he will get even more sympathy. His sympathy has been growing by the day. And he is free and boa esporte aren't money hungry cowards , you are getting emotional when I'm stating facts. If you don't like it don't watch. As a fan of the b It is obvious more people will be watching. So the lg benefits too.

I don't know all the details, but how does the murder make him a misogynist ? I agree that his case doesn't speak to the violence in Brazil because this has happened everywhere. I need to see why he got off so early.

I was wondering how it did too. The media especially international media keeps floating this and claiming he got off due to the bias against women in Brazil which makes zero sense at all. That's why I'm seeing more and more people in the bruno camp by the day.

And I guess it was due to him not getting his appeal fast enough but I could be wrong.

That's what I am reading. So he is not really free, just waiting for the appeal in freedom.

From what I understand, the court F'd up and never scheduled to hear his appeal in freedom. So the Judge had to (or chose to) let him go based on the lack of correct procedure for his appeal to be heard.

    My sentiments exactly.

If Brazil had the levels of seriousness re: the rule of law that the U.S. or Canada have, with far lower crime rates, Brazil would be an almost perfect place to live. And as you said, the interior is definitely better, but much bad stuff still happens. And I speculate that a disadvantage of smaller towns is that they'll lack the better facilities like hospitals, the private ones in SP being better.

I would consider living in small towns in Rio Grande do Sul. I've never been to that state, but from what I see, some of the smaller, more Europeanized (population-wise) towns seem tranquil and safe.

His killing of the girlfriend and feeding her to the dogs, however disgusting, aren't what highlight Brazil.

7 years for what he did is a joke. It's a reflection of the impunity and of how laws aren't followed. The U.S. in contrast is incomparably more serious. This is a major reason Brazilian immigrants here (legal and illegal) who very much miss Brazil don't want to live in Brazil again. However imperfect the U.S. system, things here work. If you throw your dead girlfriend's body to dogs, and you're caught, arrested, tried, and found guilty, you're not walking out after 7 years.

Exactly my point but I saw many articles the past few days blaming misogyny, a vice article in the USA is one example besides for the guardian headline I posted

I'd rather listen to people in Brazil and to Brazilians (who may be expats but who keep in touch with the news in Brazil, who have friends & family in Brazil, and who visit often, like Mengao86 and others than to outside sources which know little and which probably have their own ideological agendas (such as pushing misogyny).

We have Temer for that. And it did get international attention.

This isn't the upper middle class echo chamber that is the rest of big soccer. Lazy trump jokes are seen for what they are , lazy/trendy/motivated by corporate billionaires/Jews. You are probably a baby boomer but that is no excuse.

    Hmm.

    Lazy? Trendy?

I think you missed it the actual joke, maybe through your own lack of effort, but whatever. It was about the shallowness of our processing here in this thread despite our best efforts, not really about Trump. He just provided the straight man, as it were

And yeah, I have Jews in my family, but no billionaires. (Trump has both, you know...)

(Mine always think they are unable to motivate me-- they'd be surprised anyone credits them with doing so.)

My point is the fact they try to you manipulate you and look who owns the msm which the "boomers" watch , luckily fewer are watching it as you guys die out. Gen z and x have smartly turned away and trolled trump into the whitehouse pretty much by pointing out how insane cultural Marxism is and how our media promotes it. Espn is losing money in droves , their pushing of sjw is a reason. Trump offers no progress to address Zionism last month proves that but he's a start on a wide variety of other issues which really don't relate to the boomers on big soccer politics section. Most are sheltered liberals who just shill for everything the democrat party does like obedient and hypnotized ideologues. Laughing at those dumb republicans that are "evil" and dtrr dumb like Drumpf... makes it's simple and that's how y'all like it. You are morally superior now, Good goy

Huh? But baby-boomers are the people that voted Trump into office. Young people generally either voted Clinton, voted third-party, or failed to vote. Taos is the minority among his age group, so IDK how his idea applies.

Getting back on topic, after further reflection, I still don't love the Davis pick over Foster, but in understanding his intangibles, I understand the reasoning compared to the other players. Jarrad is a fighter and a leader on the field, and that's important especially in Detroit where we capitulated wholly to Seattle's physicality in the playoffs. Davis won't stand for that or allow that to happen. I appreciate that about him. No one on the field for Florda's stacked D was more relentless than he was.

It applies perfectly , baby boomers set up the system we are in , educational/debt/banking system. Most of them had very easy life's due to a war that wiped out a ton of males and you could get a factory job and have a family , one person working. He's not when you factor into class and who his kids are voting for. Also the rant was directed towards the big soccer politics bored which fits that demographic and more demographics and they are all democrat shills. No1 even has an open mind in there at all, it's just an echo chamber of people quoting john Oliver and trying to act morally superior. And young people as mellenials , sure but check the disparity vs obama , I have a guess he garnered more. And with the way the educational system is they should have 95% of the young vote. Like I said the distinction between gen x and z is important here , they aren't the same as mellenials. Most of the young people didn't vote and you are looking at it like all baby boomers have an equal voice. Look at the ones who actually shape things and get back to me.
