Didn't see this posted elsewhere. Sorry if duplicate. From ussoccerplayers.com:

"Former Columbus Crew forward Jeff Cunningham has set his sights on winning a job with Belgian club Club Brugge.

Cunningham has been training in Europe since the end of the Major League Soccer season trying to earn a contract. Two weeks ago, he tried out with Eintracht Frankfurt in the German First Division but was not offered a contract at the time.

Now he is with Club Brugge in Belgium. Located in Brussels, Brugge has won 12 titles, second only to Anderlecht in Belgian history. "

They've done well for themselves in the CL, so good for him.

Club Brugge are unsurprisingly located in Brugge.

    Funny.

They are also, apparently, a club as the writer felt the name to refer to them as a lower case club even though the next word of the sentence was uppercase Club that is part of the team's name.

Sort of like when broadcasters refer to "national team teammate."

Pedantic, but I'm bored at my in-laws wating for Turkey.

Hmm, and also trying out in AGF

From bold.dk (translation at the end of the post):

    Translation:
    American trying out for AGF

The 27 year old american forward Jeff Cunningham, started a weeks try out with AGFs Superliga team this wednesday.
Jeff Cunningham comes from the MLS club Columbus Ohio, where he scored 17 goals in 23 matches last season.

    - Cunningham will be training with us for the next week or so, and then we'll see if we can offer him anything. But he didn't show us much immediately today, said AGFs assistant trainer Ólafur Kristjanssons to Århus Stiftstidende (a local newspaper).

Previously this autumn the american forward has been trying out for belgian Club Brügge, though it didn't result in a contract offer.

AGF already has an american on their team, the former national team player Wade Barrett.

I haven't tried to correct the post, it's posted as is.
AGF is not as good as Brügge, but still a european club, where talent scouts from better clubs might notice him.

Cunningham should try France instead of screwing around with Belgium or Denmark.

I assume the journliast meant 17 points (JC scored 5 goals and had 7 assists last season). I think our points system confuses most Euro's b/c I don't think any league other than MLS gives 2 points for a goal and 1 for an assist (anyone out there know differently).

I think Jeff should even think about lower-team Scotland (outside Celtic/Rangers) and hope his dribbling skills get noticed for a bigger club move...

Agree though that France (or even Portugal or 2nd division Spain) may be better plays...

Jeff needs to go for whatever he can get. He's at an age where a club is going to expect him to produce more or less right away. I'd be more than happy to see him play in Denmark, Belguim or Portugal.
