RSL has traded Jeff Cunningham to Toronto for Eskandarian and their 2008 Superdraft first round pick.

Esky's not happy about this either. Take a look at Goff's blog.

I wonder if Freddy will give him his old number!

Cunningham will be, IMO, a much better strike partner for Dichio than Eskie. Cunningham's skill set is perfect for a guy like that. Dichio could get 10 assists to Cunningham this year.

Toronto FC - It's the show that never ends!
MLS is just one giant Plinko board to Mo.

My worst nightmare is coming true. The reason why I stopped following my childhood sport of baseball is because there was so much trading that I got sick of it. I never knew who was on my Dodgers from day to day.

This is getting ridiculous. I don't even know who my Galaxy are anymore!

    UGHHH!!!

I've now read the draft pick of this both ways --
one side says the pick goes from TFC to Real with Esky, (SLC papers, RSL boards)
the other side says Real give TFC a pick and Cunningham. (CBC, TFC boards)

    Anyone know which is true?

Given the relative standing of the two players, I would have to believe the pick is headed to RSL.

    It darn well better be..

(Of course, given that Ellinger is still running the player acquistion side of things, we probably gave away the store to TFC...again...):(

For the purposes of transfers, MLS is one team.

I believe the logic the other way is the age and salary differences.

Seriously, people are commenting on this like crazy but I don't think they really know what they are commenting on.

Somebody let me know if they can find a real answer.

Both MLS team sites say the pick went to TFC.

If this is true, it just shows how badly RSL was looking to move Cunningham's salary which, in turn, means they're looking to create room for a big salaried player.

Assuming TFC keeps the pick - and with Trader Mo, that's not a safe assumption - Jonathan Villanueva better start working on his Canadian.

    Thanks.

Don't tell the folks on the Real boards. They are already living on the edge as it is -- no wins, trade of their best scorer. They may just jump off the cliff.

    say hellloooo to DaMarcus Beasley.

this actually works perfectly for them, since they'll likelyl lose Freddy after this year.
